  1. If you are referring to the French Quarter Funk, then yes, a bunch of tourists puking all of over the place does tend to stink up the joint. That happens. But the new waste company hired to clean the Quarter sprays a nice lemony fresh scent on the streets every day so come on down and get a whiff. It's not as bad. Also, it appears by your comments that you restricted your visit to the Quarter. Why don't you come down and check out Uptown, Magazine St., Lakeview, the Marigny, and many other cool parts of the city. We are not just the French Quarter.
  2. Glass houses, Jules. Glass houses . . . . . When's the last time you were in New Orleans or are you going off of 'news reports?" If by shithole you mean too many world class restaurants to mention, too much culture and history to mention here, beautiful parks, museums, eclectic neighborhoods, excellent music venues, the Saints, festivals, oyster and catfish po-boys, and friendly people, then I am with you. Another D-bag comment. Welcome to the discussion.
  3. Jules. What shithole do you live in?
  4. Actually, there about five or six stages, plus a gospel tent and other forums. I would say at least half of the acts are jazz/local. It has been getting more indie lately, which is not a bad thing. But if you wanted to see just jazz and New Orleans music, you could go all five days and not see one indie or popular act. Just sayin'
  5. Ye. The sets are usually an hour to a hour and a half long. Last time Wilco played Jazz Fest in 2009, they squeezed about 18 or 19 songs in if I remember correctly. They blew through the set with little interruption. They were awesome though and tons of people showed up for the set.' BTW, Thursday is absolutely the best Jazz Fest day. Much less crowded than weekends and mostly a local crowd.
  6. Why has Wilco never played this song live? In fact, it is like the song doesn't even exist. I like it a lot but I am sure there will be divergent opinions on that. Anyone?
  7. Thanks a lot. uTorrent is just what I was looking for. In the process of d/l'ing the show now but it looks like it is working. Thanks again!
  8. I know this has probably been addressed elsewhere but if anyone could help, I would appreciate it. How do you download the bittorrent?? I know how to convert FLAC files but downloading the actual bittorrent from etree is baffling. Thanks.
  9. Cool interview with Jeff and Mavis on http://www.glidemagazine.com/hiddentrack/vid-jeff-mavis-you-are-not-alone-preview/ (from YouTube).
  10. Thanks for the hard work. Appreciate it!
