  1. I LOVE this song. I wish the band would do a whole album of countryish songs in this vein.
  2. I did now! Thanks for the heads-up. Appreciate it. That's a pretty sweet surprise.
  3. I thought it was a fantastic show. Band seemed to be in a good mood, especially Jeff. Smiling the whole time. Funny banter was Jeff trying to pronounce New Orleans correctly and telling the crowd that after five or six songs (the amount they got to play at the last Jazzfest before lightning stopped the show) everything else was gravy. Standouts for me were Art of Almost, Theologians, and Humingbird. Great crowd too. Lots of people with Dave Matthews and Earth, Wind and Fire playing at the same time.
  4. Been raining here for the past two days non-stop. Field is going to be muddy as hell but should be sunny and not too hot for tomorrow's set at Jazzfest.
  5. Same day different stage (Friday May 5th). Could be a good thing......
  6. Just release the bands for Jazzfest but not the cubes showing days or times. Pretty unexpected and I'm pumped.
  7. Thanks for the link. I've been looking for that.
  8. Really interesting perspective on the songwriting process and where his hear was at the time he wrote these songs. Also surprised at how aware he is of fan criticism.
  9. Sorry just came back in. It is just an mp3 of the entire show not separated out. I will post the link in a few. oops just saw someone beat me to the punch. Sorry about that.
  10. Thanks a lot for the link. Converting to MP3. Welcome respite from Dime.
  11. Nick Jonas, Double WTF???? Otherwise, pretty awesome line-up. Will definitely be there for the RHCP....
  12. This website is pretty cool. Type in any song you like and it creates a personalized play list that you can save to Spotify. http://magicplaylist.co/...
  13. Forgot to mention. Jeff was tearing up some solos, like Nels is rubbing off on him.
  14. Great write-up. I would add that it was definately a family affair. The first two rows in the entire balcony were reserved for family (according to the signs and red stickers worn by a bunch of people). My wife also met John's dad in the beer line and turned him onto a can of Hopitoulas.Super nice guy according to her. The crowd was great, the vibe was great, and the band seemed to really feed off the energy.
  15. "Say You Miss Me" at KD's Diner in Lake Charles, Louisiana at 7: a.m. Serious small town country place (there for work), some dude sitting across from me drinking a Stella for brekfast. Yum.
  16. Link is dead. If anyone could re-up, would be much appreciated. Thanks.
  17. I believe the entire show is general admission. As far as hotels go, there are too many to mention. You can stay downtown, where the venue is. There are lots of bars and restaurants in the area. It is also within walking distance from the French Quarter and there tons of nice hotels, bars and all other forms of entertanment down there. For a more mellow experience, you can stay in the Warehouse District, which is also in walking distance (but a little longer walk). As far as the venue, it just underwent major renovations and Wilco may be one of the first shows. I have read and heard that
  18. Wow. Logged in at 9:58. Kept refreshing. Tickets did not show as "on sale" until 10:13. No tickets available at 10:13.
  19. This may be a dumb question, and probably answered somewhere as well. I just signed up for a Crowd Surge account. Where do you actualy pre-order the tickets from? Wilcoworld? Thanks.
  20. Finally! A proper Wilco show in New Orleans at the Orpheum 9/28.
