  3. This popped up in my shuffle the other day. Can't remember where I got it from but the song is called "Shine" and the album title is "Auction Taping." If anyone knows the story, please share. Enjoy. https://www.dropbox.com/s/v1on7wpds3zyhv9/Shine.mp3?dl=0
  4. Other than 2 Jazz Fest appearances, Wilco has not done a "proper" show in New Orleans since 2008. Some shows at Tipitinas would be awesome, and most certainly overdue. How about it?
  5. Thanks. Great blog, and the Cold Turkey compilation is awesome. Lots of interesting stuff there.
  6. I thought this article was amusing and insightful This quote particularly cracked me up: “When we started having little bits of weirdness on our records in ways that people were noticing, for some people it was really shocking and some people really liked it. They’d ask ‘Why the noise?’ and I’d say ‘Well, it’s what works, and what sounds good to us. And if we wanted to make a record that was totally straightforward, we would’. And then we did, and people were shocked by that,” he laughs. That about sums it up .........
  7. The last Jazzfest show was awesome but I would love to see them come back to Tipitinas for a few nights. Outside of Jazzfest, they have not been to New Orleans since 2008.
  8. Thanks for making all of these show available. The rips sound incredible.
  9. ohhhhh, snap. i didn't even think about that. that must be why.
  10. How come this one has been universally overlooked? Any copies floating around?
  11. Thanks a lot for breaking the stream up. Appreciate it.
  12. Not sure if this is the right place for this, but this website is awesome. It has the 12/13 and 12/15 shows up, all tagged and everything. I think it is going to have the 12/18 show up shortly. Also has lots of good My Morning Jacket, Ryan Adams, and Drive-By Truckers shows, if your into that kind of that thing. http://www.thesteamengine.net/
  13. Also, if anyone could put this up on bt.etree, it would be greatly appreciated. dime never works for me. Thanks in advance to anyone who can accomplish this.
  14. Hmmmm. Removing head from sand as we speak . . . . . . .

  20. Very cool FM rip of a 1997 show at Club Manhattan. Rockin' show. http://www.guitars101.com/forums/f90/wilco-le-bar-bat-nite-club-manhattan-6-7-97-fm-113118.html
  21. Thanks for posting this. I always like hearing gems like this.
  22. If you are referring to the French Quarter Funk, then yes, a bunch of tourists puking all of over the place does tend to stink up the joint. That happens. But the new waste company hired to clean the Quarter sprays a nice lemony fresh scent on the streets every day so come on down and get a whiff. It's not as bad. Also, it appears by your comments that you restricted your visit to the Quarter. Why don't you come down and check out Uptown, Magazine St., Lakeview, the Marigny, and many other cool parts of the city. We are not just the French Quarter.
  23. Glass houses, Jules. Glass houses . . . . . When's the last time you were in New Orleans or are you going off of 'news reports?" If by shithole you mean too many world class restaurants to mention, too much culture and history to mention here, beautiful parks, museums, eclectic neighborhoods, excellent music venues, the Saints, festivals, oyster and catfish po-boys, and friendly people, then I am with you. Another D-bag comment. Welcome to the discussion.
