I read Pitchfork mainly online. Magazine wise Im still a subscriber to Uncut - even though I bitch about how shit it is every month. Also picked up a few issues of Under The Radar which I really enjoy. If im desperate I sometimes pick up the NME.

It wasnt the concept part that put me off. I thought a couple of their singles were ok from the first album. I cant remember what they were called though - one of the videos had them performing at a high school.

The fact that its meant to be a "concept" album about a guy dying from Cancer immediately put me off it.

Its just a shame theyve put it in the worst shopping centre in East Anglia. Its a nice town though isnt it? It reminds me of a mini Cambridge.

Bargain! By the way, as you already know Fopp kicks ass - I was blown away by their back catalogue and prices. Its a rare thing for me having a decent record store close by. Dinner times will never be the same again.

Where did you get it from? I asked in the newly opened Fopp yesterday if they had it in and they said its not released in this country until Feb next year...

They were ok I guess. I had Olympian from about '95 but that was the only album I had of theirs.

Cansei De Der Sexy - a brazilian band just signed to Sub Pop. A mix of electro / pop / indie. Ive been meaning to check em out for a while after seeing Music Is My Hot Sex on MTV2 alot recently.
