Wish I had seen that show in Chicago.
It's next week - Friday at Metro and Saturday at Space. I regret not procuring tickets.

Sounds like an incredible show. Thanks for your reporting, bbop - I can sort of feel how awesome it would have been to catch that one.

The lyrics in the box set say that the line in "Spiders (Kidsmoke)" is "all these telescopic bones." In the original release, it's "telescopic poems."
I don't know what to believe anymore...
Nice find. That's interesting.
I'm not sure we need to take it all that seriously, but of the 9 versions on the set, does Jeff fluctuate between the two lyrics? I guess I've got an hour of Spiders listening in front of me to find out.

Seems kinda odd to me that they're just doing the three dates, but who knows why? Also, if I'm not mistaken, they still could do Newport Folk, correct? I believe Newport Jazz is scheduled for Aug. 1-3 (with the folk fest taking place the weekend before).
oh! Indeed! Seems Likely, even. Too funny that I had the wrong festival name in my head despite just having watched A Complete Unknown.-

It does look like Chicago is the biggest market they are skipping. Maybe the acts are all part of Riot Fest?

It'll be interesting to see how much time Wilco gets to steal the show each of their 3 nights on the Outlaw Music Festival. They really made the most of their time during the Americanarama shows. Hope to see some headline shows scheduled before/after but I guess this rules them out for Newport Folk Festival which I was hoping for.
August 1 - Wantagh, New York
August 2 - Saratoga Springs, New York
August 3 - Gilford, New Hampshire

What a band, what a show. I could use a dose of that rock block on a weekly basis.
Nice meeting some message board folks Friday/Saturday. Wish I could catch the finale, but alas...

Somebody Else’s Song was the absolute highlight. Great show.
We’re lucky to be fans of a band up for this kind of 8 show adventure through their vast and awesome catalog (and with fine curation too- prayer for no Ode to Joy jams tonight unless they actually jam We Were Lucky).
nice connecting with some VCers last night too.

Wow. Love the ambitious night one. Wish I had been there.
Great recap.
Now making plans to see some of the shows.
The first show of the 2010 Evening With tour, in Miami, had a set break. I was there. It was weird and the band must have felt that way too at the time. Glad they figured it out. Long shows with a break for beverages and bathrooms and raving about bustouts is the way to go.

The set looks great! Can't wait to hear it.
Anybody on here who was at the live show that's included? Is that the dream, to have a vinyl copy of a great show you were at? I'd love that. I was kinda hoping we'd get the halloween Chicago Auditorium theater show...
