I don't care what they say bbop, you know your audience! Thanks for the direct comparisons to the Wylico show. Looks like another fun night on tour despite the VIPs. -
Wilco — 19 August 2025, Jackson, WY (Snow King Mountain)

I had the best time at this show. I've used a lot of means of transportation to arrive at a Wilco show (walking, biking, scooter, bus, train, plane, pedicab, cab, car), but gondola is a new one for my 101st Wilco show in my 45th U.S. state. The Teton Mountains backdrop was pretty astounding. I've been to Red Rocks and this was comparable. Word was that the band didn't get a soundcheck in, but, to my ears, they didn't need it. Sound was great. Band is well-tuned and was in fine form. The setlist is certainly road-tested and heavy on the most played songs and -
Yeah! Pretty good episode for a guy who doesn't really seem to like most of the catalog or even YHF. Hope Rob didn't go to the Cleveland show this summer tour for his own sake (not a nothing to be seen)...

Wilco — 10 August 2025, Chicago, IL (Salt Shed [Fairgrounds])

As in, My 100th Wilco show. Spanning nearly 30 years (#1 at Pine Knob on 8/20/95). You really can't ask for a better summertime outdoor show in Chicago or anywhere for that matter. The band brought their road tested formula and tweaked it ever so slightly for the hometown crowd. It was a hit. Mother nature delivered a warm dry evening with a nice breeze from time to time. It was a hit. US Blues was a highlight as were all the Pat spotlights - Falling Apart, Box, background vocals. Just That Simple into Quiet Amplifier worked really well. I think they lost the crowd with -
Oh dang, I just finished the actual 90's episodes and figured I'd take a break (permanent even), but I'll have to check this one out! Thanks for the heads up.

This was a memorable one! I've been to the venue a number of times and knew that the typical Wilco rigs weren't going to easily fit and that the band would have to do something stripped down. A Jam Room set? Perfect! They should take it on tour in intimate venues. We sat in the last row of the balcony and had a great view + the sound was really good too. I'm Always in Love was sorta mind-blowing to be honest. An absolute highlight and dream I didn't know to have. The audience was so much better than I had imagined - very respectful and attentive. I think

Lots of merch available with this release. More/better than the last few Wilco album cycles even?! Y'all really needing a frisbee with Jeff's picture on it?

Nice find. That's interesting. I'm not sure we need to take it all that seriously, but of the 9 versions on the set, does Jeff fluctuate between the two lyrics? I guess I've got an hour of Spiders listening in front of me to find out.
