I'm sorry for your loss. It does indeed sound like a rough week. I didn't make it to see Philco at Sacred Rose. Curious what made it a debacle?

Excellent recap as always, bbop! Great, but too brief chat too. My wife and I were lucky enough to score 3rd row center tickets for the show. It was a unique one! Ultimately, probably not in a good way. Jeff sounded so great - outstanding guitar playing and spot on vocals. I didn't catch a single flub. I thought the setlist flowed very nicely and I'm more convinced than ever that Cruel Country will go down as a top tier Wilco release. Jeff's exasperation was a bummer. The crowd was very quiet from where I sat. Like, one of the more respectful crowds. Period. -

Ryan Davis opened. He went on at 8 and MJ started at 915 if I recall correctly. Have fun.

It didn't come from the band, but saw the band reshare a post saying that Austin will have no repeats. That's promising...

Glad I can catch Spoon tonight (so late, they take the stage at like 12:15??) because I can't get to Riot Fest (Riot Fest sucks) until 6:30 tomorrow (still in time for Pavement at least). DM me if you want to high five after either show.

Winterlude announcement tease is a nice little sign of things to come in 2025. I'll be interested to see what venue they choose...

Two South East USA dates on the calendar already! Any predictions on what we'll see the rest of the year? More festivals (which ones would we want - I'd love to see them play Newport Folk?)? What are the best venues that they've never played but realistically could this year? So many more questions: What songs from Cruel Country/Cousin will never see the light of day again and which classics will be dusted off?

I'll guess I'm the Man Who Loves You based on my own track record.

Our favorite band subtly dropped an unannounced full front to back performance of my favorite album of theirs into their headlining set at my favorite music festival. Incredible. Has Wilco ever had a better Friday/Saturday combo at Solid Sound (or anywhere for that matter it might be argued)? I don't think so. We get arguably their most critically acclaimed hit from the jump - indicating that known songs are indeed in order for the evening after a night of stumpers to all but the dedicated. I'm in favor of big crowd favorites so this was welcomed by me. Wilco then

Well, I wouldn't have trusted setlist.gm without that pic from A Shot in the Arm on facebook, but 2 references feels right. Surprised they did a full gig for the private show.
