Who's the lawyer here?
If the topic had said least favorite track, you would have an argument. In this instance, you don't.

Texas Penal Code, Sec. 21.06. HOMOSEXUAL CONDUCT.
a. A person commits an offense if he engages in deviate sexual intercourse with another individual of the same sex.
b. An offense under this section is a Class C misdemeanor.
there shall be no debates here.
That's the statute that was ruled unconstitutional in Lawrence.

i don't mind the song (then again, I have a bunch of O'Rourke records) but it's a pretty clear outlier on that album.
There isn't a single mediocre song on YHF or AGIB. They're all great. But I agree with this about Less Than You Think being the clear outlier.

I think this might be the more interesting list. I tried to list comments on some of the choices. Otherwise, it just came down to choosing a song that, if I had to, I could live without.
A.M.: Should've Been in Love
Being There: The Lonely 1
Summerteeth: When You Wake Up Feeling Old
Yankee Hotel Foxtrot: Heavy Metal Drummer - this was an impossible choice
A Ghost is Born: Less Than You Think - this was also impossible
Sky Blue Sky: What Light & Leave Me (Like You Found Me) - this may be cheating, but these two songs are my two least favorite of the entire catalog, so I felt like I should include them both
Wilco (the album): Bull Black Nova - an early favorite that I quickly turned on; i can't even listen to it anymore
The Whole Love: Open Mind - a few to choose from here, but this song epitomizes what's gone wrong with late-era Wilco -
A.M. -- Shouldn't Be Ashamed
Being There -- Hotel Arizona
Summerteeth -- I'm Always in Love
Yankee Hotel Foxtrot -- I Am Trying to Break Your Heart
A Ghost is Born -- Handshake Drugs
Sky Blue Sky -- Side With the Seeds
Wilco (the album) -- Deeper Down
The Whole Love -- Art of Almost

I'm all for a list like this to keep going. I have most of those on my Netflix queue, but it's good to get some other recommendations. With the Rangers' season in the tank, I should have all summer to devote to catching up.

The sickest I've ever been isn't much of a story. I started feeling chest tightness and a little pain on a Monday that progressed to shortness of breath and appetite loss by Wednesday. Woke up in the middle of the night on Thursday night with a strange pain in my back near my shoulder. Felt bad enough that I went to the ER on Friday after work and was eventually diagnosed with multiple pulmonary emboli (blood clots in the lungs).
I was hospitalized for a few days and I've had to take a blood thinner ever since. The scary thing is that were it not for a full work-up and litany of blood tests in the ER for some pretty nondescript symptoms, I might not be here today. Which didn't help with my anxiety issues over the next couple of years.

The good news? A young woman I had recently broken up with nursed me back to health after I got out of the hospital. Thank God I got sick - I would have never known how incredibly awesome and caring she was/is. We got married 2 years later.
That's an awesome conclusion to that story!

Looks like it was a cool show. Thanks for posting.

Today this placed bummed me out. Seriously bummed met out.
It's like a bad umpire in a baseball game who makes terrible calls and then starts tossing players for rightfully questioning them.
-
Gosh, I always make sure to make it my business when someone who has done me a kindness disappears from a community. Bystander apathy is a terrible thing.
Unfortunately, it's the only course of action we're allowed to take here.

:'-( Jules too? Say it ain't so. Can't we all just get along here in Wilcotopia?
We pretty much all do. Unless the opportunity for us to get along is arbitrarily taken away from us. Good to have you back!
-
I would be open to a change too. Specifically, I think Nels has been a poor fit. He's an extremely talented musician and I always enjoy his other albums, but I just don't think his strengths mesh well with Jeff's.

didn't speedracer/sexnap come back at some point after the 1st banning? or was that self-exile?
Pretty sure speedracer came back as don draper for a while. Then after the Jules dust-up, she essentially revealed who she was and was promptly banned again. But I could be wrong.
-
Both Speedracer and Jules have been banned. But the circumstances and reasons for their bans remain shrouded in mystery and locked inside a secret vault. Their presence is definitely missed.

have you bought a 10" recently for less?
Not sure when I last bought a 10" so I couldn't say what the going rate is. But rare or not, $15 seems unnecessarily steep. Of course, LPs are overpriced too.

Here's Robert Wilonsky's review from the Dallas Morning News. In case you can't tell, he's a longtime fan.
Good review. I saw him before the show, but I wasn't sure if he would be writing about it.

The reviewer thought that Diamond Light and High as Hello were Sky Blue Sky-ish? Gotta disagree there. I think these two songs in particular have their own new and different feel. I love the hypnotic drumming in Diamond Light, as well as the angry bursts of guitar. I can imagine that track on AGIB or a Loose Fur record, if anywhere. I can't get enough of High as Hello, and I think it's a pretty fresh sound for Jeff. Splitting hairs to argue with a concert review, but if there's anywhere for me to voice my dissent, it's here!
I think he just got his Wilco albums mixed up. Sky Blue Sky is neither edgy nor arty. He probably meant A Ghost is Born. Regardless of that one mistake, I thought his review was pretty accurate as to how the show went.

Hopefully, the U.S. and Germany will all sit down on the field once the clock starts and start reading books.

The Tweedy setlist from Dallas is posted below. According to the poster, "Hazel" was the only song played that has not been played before. I was pretty encouraged by what I heard. The five-song stretch of Flowering, Hazel, Summer Noon, Honey Combed, and Desert Bell didn't really grab me. Of course, I was in the mezzanine towards the back and that might be more a result of where I was sitting. However, World Away sounded great and the band seemed energized once they played that one. The rest of the set was great. I'm anxious to hear the album now.

Good show last night. It's always a treat to get Not For the Season and How to Fight Loneliness.
I had avoided listening to any of the new material until the show and I was somewhat encouraged. I did have a difficult time connecting with much of the early half of the set after "Diamond Light," but "World Away" seemed to kick things into a new gear and the rest of the full-band set sounded great from that point on.
I'll be anxious to hear the new album.

The new First Aid Kit release is nice. The harmonies are beautiful.
Yes! That one definitely needs to be added to the list.
