For my two cents, obliviously, I think the action was legal and within the bounds of the law and also has precedent.
Freudian slip?

Man, I'm so sorry.
I know what you mean regarding your wife. When that time comes for our oldest dog, my wife and daughter will be inconsolable.

In other news, Texas Republicans have once again been tampering with textbooks instead of reading them:

It actually could have been a lot worse. As hard as that may be to believe. It's a constant battle.

Just wanted to echo the thoughts on Courtney Barnett. Excellent album. Thanks for the recommendation!

These are still individuals writing their reviews, though. I doubt Pitchfork is telling its writers that any references to past albums have to square with what was originally written about them.

I'm not sure I have any thoughts on a baseball offseason 100 years in the future.

Man they need to hire an editor at some "pint" to read "ever" paragraph.
Ugh. That's such a pet peeve of mine. I put this on my Christmas list, so I'm going to have to wait until then to check this out.

Great album! I've been listening to this on repeat all week. Definitely in the top 3 of the year.
-
Nope. Try again.

The first of an incredible run of 4 brilliant albums. I can't remember the first time I heard it, but I know it was after I heard YHF.

What was The Purge?

i thought Poor Places was on there...scratch my Side/Seeds call. i'm w/ bleedorange.
I've always thought of Poor Places as one of a handful of iconic Wilco songs. I was really surprised it wasn't included on this.
-
Side with the Seeds is the only song from the last three albums that I would put on this compilation.

11:12 a.m. today, CST
Why would you say "11:12 a.m. today, CST" when the actual time you gave the answer was 11:12 a.m. CDT?
-
I'd probably go with Hotel Arizona and Poor Places.
Although, the selections from A Ghost is Born could stand a redo (other than Handshake Drugs).
-
I'm guessing that it was intentional, with #20 acting as a 'fill in the blank' type gesture as each fan will always have their 'how could they possibly leave THAT song off?' moment.
This is exactly it.

You shouldn't believe the government hype. If they don't have those things, then I'm sure there's some kind of mind-control device or a way to track your movements with GPS.
-
and it took Wilco almost ten years to get to five albums.
And then they decided to stop making good ones.

Not on your life. Aluminum, mercury, disease, Autism, etc. Not falling for it.

Yeah, I caught that, too. That's gotta sting a little.
Not really. It's a ridiculous, irrational sentiment among a very few. Similar to the equally dumb "I wish Los Angeles would break off and fall into the Pacific."

"This week’s MMWR, Estimating the Future Number of Cases in the Ebola Epidemic—Liberia and Sierra Leone, 2014–2015, estimates the future number of cases if current trends continue....
"Without additional interventions or changes in community behavior, CDC estimates that by January 20, 2015, there will be a total of approximately 550,000 Ebola cases in Liberia and Sierra Leone or 1.4 million if corrections for underreporting are made."
-
That's a worst-case scenario number amid a plea for more help in controlling the outbreak.

I'm surprised that TX is even accepting help from the CDC. Isn't there a big secession movement in TX? I guess that evil old federal government does come in handy once in a while, despite what Rick "Oops" Perry says...
No, there isn't. Please remember that Texas is a big state. Lots of different people live here. Thanks.

I think NoJ is right. I haven't thought too much about this, but it doesn't seem like there is anything illegal here. But I don't know what the Right is claiming. Maybe Obama's plan is too sensible?
