I used to read more blogs, in the past, not as many these days. I don't follow a particular blog, but I'm finding much of the information I need on them, via google searches. I may be wrong, but it would seem as though twitter seized a great deal of the audience that used to read blogs, I mean in the early 2000s. Writing a tweet takes less effort than writing a blog post, so I think more and more blogs will become the tool of specialised, skilled people like journalists, while twitter will serve the general population. And I don't know what could have happened to technorati, back in 20

reason why I didn't use capital letters No, seriously, the bottom line here is: I'm happy that those musicians are on very good terms with Wilco that at some point the line between different bands disseminates. It's one of the many reasons why I like Wilco, Uncle Tupelo, because of collaborators with which I strongly identify.

So what is Peter Buck then? Just an apostle preaching Wilco?

Some of the names mentioned here are people who have actually been official members of Wilco, at one point or another. On the contrary, I was referring to people from outside of Wilco, whose contributions have meant a great deal to the development of the band and to raising awareness of Wilco. Musicians who are members of other bands but who seem to wear a Wilco hat if you would, I was thinking of Peter Buck, McCaughey, they may be the reason why I like Wilco these days. So these musicians are in a different category than the people who have been suggested above. If I follow Shakespea

Think of the many times he has joined Wilco on stage, his early links to Uncle Tupelo, and his general symphathy towards the band...

This is a person I really admire, has has provided a link between R.E.M. and Wilco, two bands I like, which is probably why I am sympathetic to his music projects. Below is an excerpt of an interview from 1997, plus his wikipedia photo. Of course it's been so many years since this interview that he had joined many other groups, say for instance The Venus 3 with Robyn Hitchcock, the King Charles Trio with John Wesley Harding and I think he also was with Snow Patrol on Tired Pony if I recall correctly... I think he's in so many bands because of his talent, but also because he's friends wi

Hopefully it'll sound indie, folkish, with just the right number of rockers.

Is it correct to say that these guys created a digital sound with all analog technology? I'm not much familiar with their music, a friend of mine is, I'm under the impression that they're mostly an eighties phenomenom. Some of the album covers really transmit an idea of modernity and technology far ahead of their time, although some of that artwork also looks dated.

To feed the nineties nostalgia, here's another forgotten band from the 90s. Officially they haven't disbanded. This is encouraging news I just read on their wikipedia: On January 31, 2012 the band posted on their official Facebook page that they are currently in the studio with the following line-up: Jakob Dylan, Rami Jaffee, Greg Richling, Stuart Mathis, and drummer Jack Irons. (This particular song is from a 2005 album). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bt1l4E2mnYA&ob=av2e

During the heyday of the Crows' popularity (the early to mid-nineties) I was a happier person, which is why I strongly identify with their music (that of their contemporaries, The Wallflowers as well, but for some reason not Dave Matthews nor Matchbox Twenty nor Gin Blossoms). While Mr Jones was the hit repeatedly played on radio, the song that immediately and permanently connected me to them was a slow ballad called ¨Round Here¨. Personally, I think that their best songs are: 1) Round Here, 2) Ms. Potters Lullaby and 3) A Long December. It is true that after Desert Life the quality of t
