  1. It's becoming pretty well assumed now, but not a few hours ago when the five was posted. What's not that obvious is what other announcements, besides the o2 dvd, will be made on Wednesday/Thursday.
  2. We all feel old at some point in time. First time I felt old was in 2010 when I saw secondary and high school photographs that my older brother posted on his Facebook. Then I feel old when I can't connect with the newer bands Gotye, etcetera, and then no one listens to R.E.M. anymore, or everybody has but forgotten the beautiful albums of 1996-8, and then Gotye keeps sounding like the Police that makes me feel old.
  3. Official Led Zeppelin Facebook page posts cryptic image, leaves fans guessing SEPTEMBER 8, 2012BY: BRIGETTE SULLIVAN examiner.com Today, the official Led Zeppelin page on Facebook has posted a cryptic image, leaving fans, critics, and music enthusiasts the world over wondering what it means. The simple "Five" written in the same font as the band's "Houses of the Holy" album cover could mean anything. As fans of Led Zeppelin know, their first four albums were simply titled "Led Zeppelin One", "Led Zeppelin Two", "Led Zeppelin Three" and "Led Zeppelin Four", although written in Roman numera
  4. According to google trends, the number one language employed by users, while searching for wilco content is not English, it's Dutch. The number one city where wilco searches originate is Portland, Oregon, followed by Amsterdam in The Netherlands and Chicago is third. The country with the most wilco related searches is not the United States, but The Netherlands. Below are some graphics from google trends, the first shows a list of languages and the second shows the geographical distribution of users, by country and by city, all of this in the past 30 days. As I tried to come u
  5. Really beautiful song, I listen to it almost every morning.
  6. Josh Ritter has drawn comparisons to Dylan. I like a song he played live on the radio a few weeks ago, it's called "Galahad". Joe Pug has also been compared to Dylan. The new Bob Dylan was at the top of the CD charts on amazon.com when I checked a couple of weeks ago.
  7. I have been "overexposed" to the song "Live and Die" - it's on every radio station I listen, morning and night, that I'm already tired of it. Can anybody recommend any really good songs of the Avett Brothers so that I don't lose complete faith in them?
  8. Can't identify with that list, I don't think I own 4-5 of those albums listed, plus there's no R.E.M. to be seen anywhere! Going by this list I'm listening to the wrong stuff! (or I'm not part of The People)
  9. They're being interviewed on Minnesota Public Radio right now, about a new album, they just performed "By the way"
  10. It's a great place to discover new music. I especially find the "similar artists" section very helpful. For instance, for R.E.M. it lists: The Minus 5, Wilco, Counting Crows, 10.000 maniacs and many more. I'm not a paying member, however. It's one of the first places I visit (other than wikipedia) where I learn about artists.
  11. Read an interview with Jody Stephens by Len Comaratta of Consequence of Sound: http://consequenceof...ns-of-big-star/
  12. SIngle is on wxpn radio right now.. http://www.npr.org/2...g?sc=tw&cc=twmp
  13. You probably read what Steve Wynn said about this show: "I've played a ton of shows (about 2500, I think) and there is honestly something that stands out about almost..." http://twitter.com/s...161540379021314 Just announced the new Young Fresh Fellows, "Tiempo de Lujo": http://www.yeproc.co...jo-on-august-21
  14. Great bands. Although I wish Minus 5 albums were more generally available to purchase, it's quite a task to find their older CDs in mint condition!
  15. * Robyn Hitchcock & The Venus 3 * The Baseball Project * The Minus 5 * John Wesley Harding & The King Charles Trio * Tender Mercies (Counting Crows affiliation)
  16. Agree. He's becoming a great record producer. Plus the fact that Sansone is also working on this is good news. Quite an album to expect in 2013.
  17. It's the same interview on both websites, nodepression reprinted it on the 13th. But yes, Sansone is credited as co-producer on both texts.
  18. An interview with Sarah Lee Guthrie on washingtonexaminer.com There was also a recent Q&A with Ms. Guthrie, here: http://www.ourstage....e-family-legacy the album is to release in 2013.
  19. It's been a very tragic year for the music world.
