Would LOVE to have this new one with the two other songs that I already have... anyone who has an MP3 file... either please PM me or send to my email (HareDurga@yahoo.com)- sorry I'm just not tech savvy, but am relying on the kindness of others who are... thanks in advance to whoever chooses to good deed do & collect the happy Karma & my undying gratitude!

  2. Someone apparently did. It appears to have been captured directly off the radio, so i'm assuming the awesome person who captured this was in the Minneapolis area at the time. It sounds great! I was at the show in the front row, and now i get to relive it whenever i want! Whoohoo! I posted the link in the torrents section.

  4. It sounds awesome. Too bad it's almost 300 bones!

I hear 'ya, but, since I already ordered one, my rationalization goes thusly...

    1) Loved the old RAT distortion pedal & still have it decades later... if these are well made, then paying more $ divided by the number of years you'll have this (a lifetime) doesn't amount to much...

    2) You should always trust your own ears & Spidey sense on stuff like this...but, seeing as I'm not up for spending the day going pedal to pedal to pedal with comparisons... then I can say that there's guitarists who playing & sounds I love up there with Nels (Jeff Tweedy included) but no one I love more...and, no one I trust more as far as being deeply involved in the pedal world & in sonic sculpture, including noise sculpting... he plays guitar a lot & then he also plays electric signals like a wizard... If Nels was in on the creation of this, then, in short, that's good enuff fer me!

    3) It's hand-made by a small boutique company & it's aesthetics are all incredibly cool, on many & every level(s)...

  5. GOO! Nels Cline’s ICON Series Signature Distortion Pedal
“GOO is the most expressive, touch sensitive, and responsive distortion pedal I’ve ever experienced. GOO will rock your socks off, and then its singing sustain will envelop you in sonic viscosity and consume you in creamy, dreamy distorted bliss. We Did it! Dig It! In a world filled with fuzz boxes and overdrive pedals and very few distortion pedals, I wanted to create a distortion pedal that is creamy, full rich, but also loud and versatile with a lot of sustain and plenty of gain.”~ Nels Cline
GOO has it all! Thick, focused, creamy, GOO Oozes Tone, has plenty of volume and plenty of gain with loads of singing sustain, a superb tube amp like feel, great dynamics and touch sensitivity. GOO’s sonic characteristics and tube-like response gives players the freedom and flexibility to play everything from rock to alternative to jazz fusion to blues.
    GLOW IN THE DARK KNOBS!
SIMPLE GIG FRIENDLY DESIGN! OOZES TONE!

    From Nels facebook page:
" "Beautiful Love," a first listen from 'Lovers' - out August 5th on Blue Note Records: youtu.be/2CNY3-gkw74

A double-album featuring originals, standards and covers, 'Lovers' offers an update on the 'mood music' idea and ideal, challenging our iconic notion of romance along the way. It was recorded with an ensemble of 23, and conducted and arranged by Michael Leonhart.

  7. HEY WILCO!!! How about a residency in the NYC area?
Like The Allman Brothers & now Tedeschi-Trucks Band does at The Beacon... or wherever... just give us east coasters a shot at a 5 night run sometime!!!

  8. I've got two for Saturday for The Vic. Face value or best offer. Call me at (585) 813-3561. I'd prefer a call, or text, to trying to do PM's here.
I spoke to the good folks at The Vic Theatre Box Office & they are very cooperative & will work with us to make this ticket transfer happen safely, securely & quickly. The tickets are will call in my name & will just need to be changed to yours. The Box Office is open both today (Friday) & tomorrow Saturday, from 10:00 until 4:00.

  9. New York Mets- hottest team in baseball with 7 wins in a row & having won 9 of their last 10... and last night two franchise records were broken- Cespedes has extra base hits in 9 consecutive games & the team scored 12 runs in the 3rd inning

  10. Attention Pedal Heads!!! H-E-L-P!!! I'm looking to finally take the dive this year & pick up some pedals. My fave pedal stomping artists are Wilco (Nels & Jeff especially), Ira Kaplan of Yo La Tengo & St. Vincent (aka Annie Johnson)...

I need help with two things. First off, if anyone would like to list their essential pedals (knowing my predilections/ taste) for me to look at & go crazy & list as many as you want, but if you could put the most essential at the top that'd be helpful & I'd be most grateful.

Secondly I loaned a friend money for a Gibson SG (with P-90's) & I'm selling his old Les Paul for him. A guy who's looking to buy the Les Paul has gear to trade, including a load of pedals. Since I'm owed money, I can take some of the payment in the form of any of these pedals. So check them out & let me know any that you love, why you love them, what they do & what you think a good used price would be for them! Thanks!!!

    Here's that list of pedals.

    EHX English Muff'n
    Dwarfcraft Synth Mangler $160

  11. I'm really hoping that we see more Wilco/Richard Thompson dates!!! Two of my all-time favorite artists.

I got to catch them together on the AmericanaramA tour & watching Thompson sit in with Wilco was like some crazy sonic fantasy come true. I was surprised & disappointed that this didn't happen at Solid Sound. Here's hoping that it does this Summer...at least in Philly...and hopefully some more places!!

  12. From "A Shot In The Arm" Unofficial Wilco Facebook Fan Page: "The magazine, "Under the Radar" features an interview between Courtney Barnett and Jeff for those interested. Haven't finished the whole interview yet but sounds like another Wilco record is almost ready."

  13. I have one extra ticket general admission for Tuesday, 2/2, in Port Chester. I got it in the venue pre-sale, which means it's will call only. But I'm attending the show and happy to coordinate meeting at the box office to get you your ticket. Face value, of course.

PMing you now we will take it. Please call or text me @ (585) 813-3561 to work out details... can paypal you & will be meeting you at the show! BTW both myself & the guy who is getting the ticket are gigantic Mets fans!!! You Gotta Believe! Let's Go Mets!! Thanks!

  14. By the way, when I first created this topic I don't think I had seen prices. (My enthusiasm led to precipitous posting!) So now the shows are up at WilcoWorld with links and the rules seem to be the same as usual.  $150 for VIP (the first few rows in front of the stage), $75 for the remainder of floor seating and in the balcony. It's a fully seated show, first come, first served except for VIP.

Tickets go on sale at noon on Friday--I assume that's noon Chicago time.

A little advice to anyone else who may be traveling solo: There are quite a few inexpensive airbnb listings within easy walking distance of the Vic. City Suites, right around the corner from the theater, used to be affordable but I was just quoted over $500 for 2 nights with a AAA discount. Umm, no thanks.

Help me remember here... How do tickets at the Vic work? hard copy, transferable files or you have to show up & be there to get them.

I really want to go, think I can do it, but am not sure & absolutely cannot risk having to eat two days worth of tickets. I thought folks were able to sell them, but I couldn't recall for sure & the box office doesn't open until noon- when the tickets go on sale...

Thanks so much for all the good outreach & help you provide here & for your general good vibes & Spirit!
