Up before sunrise at the Hilton to make the most of my one full day in Burlington. And I will be standing from the first note!!!Thanks bbop - as always, I really enjoy reading your reviews and thoughts on the shows. I will be at the Flynn Theatre tonight (hope you'll finally make a Burlington show) and will head over to Portland tomorrow as well. That will be it for me this winter... Having seen Star Wars indoors back at the Metropolis in September - I couldn't agree more that it is WAY better indoors.
I am hoping Burlington brings some real energy to the show tonight. Like most theatre's - the Flynn can suffer from the stand up/sit down issue. I have found that if people get up early - and stay standing through the first song - everyone gets up. The room sounds amazing...
If anyone needs suggestions on where to drink, eat or hang while in our little fair city - lemme know.

Please no Star Wars tonight. Pretty please. Oh well, at least I made it to beautiful Burlington, VT. Thanks as always for the details!

After about an hour & a half of walking back & forth on Delancey one sweetheart of a dude gave me one, with the assistance of one of the door guys who had pointed me out. Was so instantly psyched I gave him 20...& many hi fives during the festivities.

Here's a great video via freakscene.net of Jeff with J, Lou & Murph on 12/4/15. For those that didn't hear, Jeff & Spencer both sat in for the Cortez the Killer finale.

Hope Courtney surprises & takes Best New Artist since I'd take hers over any in this category.

More info. Appears Jeff was just Tarpit & Cortez. Some Instagram clips for those inclined.According to setlist.fm, Jeff guested on Get Me, Tarpit and Cortez the Killer. I would be surprised if he didn't also guest on TV Eye and Heart of Gold, but not surprised if setlist.fm got that part wrong.

Just a new bluesy tune that sounded better than anything off the last record. When you you say "new Deer Tick," what exactly do you mean?
Plus Balt Blues, Ashamed, Clownin Around, Pogues cover, et al, bangin short set that stole the night.

Kim Gordon with Kurt Vile covering Sister Ray, Parquet Courts backing Lee Ranaldo on Mote & Eric's trip, Superchunk as energetic as ever & new Deer Tick to close out the night (& smoked a butt with John McCauley).

Just announced at the Flynn after William Tyler's set. No standing. No dancing. No blocking aisles. Dancing is permitted in the far back of the theater. This should be interesting.
I just trekked 300 miles outta 2 feet of snow for this. Good luck keeping me down!!!
