  1. In my world the Olympics is just 17 days of hell, but my world is monitoring & troubleshooting the awful feeds from the data providers)....at least the last 2 were)......luckily this time around I'll be doing MLB most day...

Did have to confirm scheduled the other day & that was brutal enough...BMX an Olympic sport?!? Kayaking?!?! WtF

Should be track & field, swimming & gymnastics, that's it!!!!

And I root against the Dream Team(s) every time....is that unamerican?

  2. Was a huge Sopranos & Wire fan but on a whole Breaking Bad's (IMO) better....can't believe I've gone through the 4 seasons 4 times!!!!

Won't be surprised if they continue foreshadowing a year ahead throughout the season like they did with the crash in Season 2.

    Amazing television

Definitely Handshake Drugs but maybe War on War too (not sure, actually got tied up with work, damn you work).

  5. Hung out with Mason Jennings (thanks to my girl) after a Philly show like 5 years ago & he couldn't have been more chill and really interested in our conversation.

I haven't talked to Bruce myself, but being from Monmouth County NJ, some family & friends have....all those accounts confirm the great things folks have said about Bruce since the beginning....

    Pavement dudes are nice.

    Totally...Mark & Bobby Nasty especially!

  6. I'm a little confused by the "biggest headlining show ever".....maybe outdoor? Haven't there been quite a few more attended indoor shows?

Nothing against your post (I know I've seen that on all the previews)....just curious

Anyone know how many were at NYE 2004 at MSG? I know it was empty up top (luckily I was on the floor)...

.I'm terrible with gauging attendances....can't believe there was 15,000 at jones beach for phish on the 4th....all singing PURPLE RAIN with fishman, pretty sweet

  7.

    1) Did you go to Red Rocks as well (both nights)?

    2) Just saying that if you're already in NYC & love Wilco this much...you know there is a show on Weds. July 25th in NYC at Terminal 5 in Manhattan. GO!!

Gotta work T5 night, announced too late for me - thankfully have the Bushnell super-close to home for the intimate indoor gig

  8. After a run like YHF & AGIB (IMO both are/will be timeless masterpieces), it was gonna be tough to triplicate....

Someone said it well, there are some wonderfully crafted tunes that just don't translate to the mostly high-energy shows that have been the norm for the last few years....& for me the live experience trumps everything else

  9. This is a Wilco forum. If you don't like, don't listen to it, and don't complain about it.

I apologize for my earlier tone, no harm intended....

thou I'll never understand the train of thinking that forums are places to universally sing praises.....forums are a place for debate, how completely boring would life be if every single individual loved every little thing the same....

I've been active here over 7 years & some of the most interesting & thought-provoking discussions i've ever been a part of were right here, from wilco to Mozart to socialism to the Yankees....Ive felt a sincere connection to jeff tweedy since 1992 but there's no way I can pretend to believe that W(TA) is up to the band's high standards....but if you love it god bless ya, that's what makes music so great, different strokes for different folks
