Also, I voted today. One of the election judges had a vocal tic which means she felt compelled to make this freaking weird noise every 15 seconds. Another election judge didn't want to give me any "face time"....wouldn't look me in the eye. Yep, power to the people!

Last night we finally watched the finale of True Detective. It was a bit of a let down given how strong some of the earlier episodes were.

Lammy, a week ago I found a mouse in my garage who had obviously eaten some of the poison I put out in the garage to kill all the mice. This mouse was still alive and it was suffering. I felt so bad for it; no more poison for me. But the damn things eat the peanut butter RIGHT OUT OF THE MOUSE TRAPS! What am I gonna do? And no, there are no rats in my yard. I've been here going on 10 years. I would've seen one by now, guaranteed. I do get a skinhead in the mantrap once in a while though.

Poon, did that tapeworm come out of your nose after the neti pot application? Also, we have no rats in my yard. Unless you want to call squirrels "tree rats" then yeah, I suppose we do. We have chipmonks too but not too many after I gassed the lot of them this past spring. Its either the squirrels or the chipmonks snipping off the flowering heads of my tulips. I try to find a peaceful place within myself when these things happens because otherwise I'd go all Carl the Groundskeeper on them.

You know it baby! I was listening to owls hoot and coyotes kee-yi in my backyard just last night.

About 7 years ago I traded a fresh squirrel tail for a fridge, which is now cooling beer in my garage. True story!

Stupid squirrels did the same thing to ours within 24 hrs. Also, they allowed my prairie daisy plant to grow and bloom into a wonderous plant then bit all the flowers off (and didn't eat any of them) then bit the main stalk in half. I'm a patient man but c'mon how much of this am I supposed to take until I lock and load?

Back on topic...the other nite I allowed my kids to carve the pumpkins all by themselves. In other words, I did no carving at all. Turns out the kids are pretty good with knife work.

All of the leaves are now off one of my silver maple trees.
