  2. Still waiting for my refund offer.
  3. He released a GREAT album several years back with Roger Daltrey. RIP, Wilko.
  4. That's awesome. The Feelies remain on my concert bucket list - though I don't hold out much hope of them traveling to the Midwest.
  5. The Mekons continue to put out great music 40+ years [!] after their 1979 debut. Twenty years in, they released "Journey To The End of the Night." And two of my favorite releases of 2022, Spoon's "Lucifer On the Couch" and Drive-By Trucker's "Welcome To Club 13" were both released more than 20 years after each band's debut.
  6. Drive-By Truckers (night 2) at Fitzgeralds'.
  7. Drive-By Truckers @ Thalia Hall.
  8. Mimi Parker of Low has passed away from ovarian cancer. I've been a long -time fan of Low. Condolences to Alan and all who loved her.
  9. Jon Langford & Bonnie "Prince" Billy at Fitzgerald's.
  10. Awesome! I see Peter is no longer dressing as a flower!
  11. He played in Chicago last night. Thought about going, but it would have made my wife very unhappy so I decided against it. He's got so much material. Some of it is undeniably excellent.
  12. Try this and follow to the official store. Wilco - Cruel Country (lnk.to)
  13. Cruel Country vinyl and CD now available to pre-order (Jan 20 release) on the WilcoWorld site. Wilco - Cruel Country (lnk.to)
  14. How is it that neither Katie nor Allison has written a song named "Mirror Twin?" Seems like low-hanging fruit!
  15. Katie's twin sister, Allison, fronted the band Swearin' -- also worth checking out if you're a fan of Waxahatchee.
  16. Sure. Loser brings the beer and pretzels?
  17. Haha. The Hideout is small, but my back deck could likely accommodate Glenn's drum kit (but not much else), and that's only if he leaves behind the big gong.
  18. The only silver lining to the White Sox missing the playoffs is that I'm wide open this Sunday!
  19. It was great! I'm not a fan of the Chicago Theater, but I kind of get the band's "Gold Coins for Gold Soundz" mentality. Can't blame a band for cashing in on a reunion tour. That said, they sounded great and I loved the setlist - heavy on "Brighten the Corners" - my favorite Pavement album. I went to the show with one of my sons - my other son saw them kick of their tour in San Diego and my daughter saw them last week in Denver. So my family had the full court press on Pavement this tour.
