Pretty simple answer. Lots of younger candidates were in the race -- Mayor Pete, Beto, Kamala Harris, Booker, Yang, Gabbard, Gillibrand. They couldn't get the votes or raise the cash to stay in the race so they dropped out.

You're right; but I think the same thing will happen with Bernie or Warren leading the ticket. If the Dems want to win the White House, I think they need a candidate that can win back Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

I saw Jeff (solo) open for Patti Smith at the Riv in November 1998. Jeff was great. Patti was other-worldly.
