Missouri legislators say abortion leads to illegal immigration

i'm lazy - here's a cutnpaste. they were officially a border state, that's totally right on. i was kinda kidding about their fringe government as this minority fringe is out there (like the prior goons). since we're talking about the wingnuts, my post was for those same wingnuts. i'll be in the failed joke lounge with sen. kerry for a while. the cutnpaste: The Missouri Secession controversy refers to the disputed status of the state of Missouri during the American Civil War. During the war, Missouri was claimed by both the Union and the Confederacy, had two competing state governments, an -

dear missouri - please secede again. thanks. -
when drag the river covered indianapolis, they made it don henley. both are spot on.

if kerry could have gotten mccain to be his vp, he'd be president now without a doubt. this sort of ticket would only work if both candidates were not very partisan at all. we've had a few mixed ticket presidencies early on in the republic -- it didn't work out so well.

i feel for those disillusioned parishioners, i really do. hopefully in forgiving their pastor, they see that gay people are humans and begin to afford them compassion and rights. this could be a healing moment. it could also help to close the polarizing effects of the fundamentalist evangelicals. wishful thinking.

"I Voted For A Loser" Commiseration Thread

i cast my ballot around 10am today. i had to wait in line for half an hour to get my paper ballot to mark (summit county, ohio does not do touch screen. we fill the bubble and it gets scanned). there were about 450 people who voted in my precinct before me according to the scanner machine thing. that's some pretty good turnout. -
should be under warranty. if not, go to comp usa and get a $20 battery kit. if neither of those options work out, sell it with a disclaimer that the battery is bad. that would give you enough cash to get a nano.

the polygraph was given on a radio show, which would make anyone nervous enough to botch it (and i'd say that if he passed as well). it's not good science really. the best one liner on this came from ed schultz's radio show. he said something to the effect of "like cheney, here's another story of some conservative shooting someone in the face" the prostitute who outed him said he cried when he heard the news break that the guy resigned. for the people actually involved, this is really sad. however, this is a good thing for america. the less churches are directly involved with the elections

The Revolution Will Not Be Televised

chavez is not "for life". he stands for re-election in situations that are not dissimilar to some american elections (although not in this lifetime). considering his country was a colony for all real purposes until very recently when heavy crude became viable, i'm willing to cut some slack. go ahead and write off our history. the american revolution was far from perfect. our (excellent, imo) constitution in many ways betrayed the rhetoric and feeling of the revolution. the first 18 years of the US were pretty spotty. i think it says a lot more about what we became to really look at how crap -

ours was much less democratic, ensured the existence of slavery, stratified classes and caused a botched revolution within the first few years (shays' rebellion). but things got a little better once jefferson got into office. -
first act has nice body styles and are suprisingly decent quality for the chinese sweatshop/slave labor factory models. they only recently started making a "pro" line and getting endorsements (slash, kurt ballou from converge). this is an attempt to up-brand their product from the toy/entry level guitars to the mid-range, hipster market. i don't think it'll work.

looks like a war on drugs won't work, but drugs might get killed as collateral damage. of course, lots of pot has fallen victim to friendly fire.
