  1. Here I Come - The Roots The Salmon Dance - Chemical Brothers w/Fatlip All I Need - Radiohead Eye Patch - De La Soul Holy Mountain - The Cult
  2. Jiminy crickets! Lou Reed doing "Let Me See Your ID" - forgot about that one. I love the part in the video documentary of that album, when Daryl Hall calls out Queen, something like "bands plays Sun City, I won't name names. No actually I will - Queen played there last year."
  3. Was Sun City ever released on CD? I wore that tape out back in the day - can't wait to hear that version of Silver & Gold again. Also: agreed - Walk To The Water is the best. jcroach, have you heard the formerly unreleased stuff yet?
  4. You see the ads all the time too? That map blew me away - why would a company (who's not exactly a GE or Disney, as far as I know) advertise in places they don't exist?
  5. Probably the only exciting SNL performance of the past couple of/few seasons.
  6. I still sometimes pine for the gold-foil wrapped cheeseburgers from junior high (or "middle") school with sweaty buns and patties peppered with grayed blood-and-fat blisters that you only noticed when applying ketchup. Mmm.
  7. What's physically in the food is about half the story.
  8. Pretty much the same here - I've eaten at one of these places probably once a year in the past few years - a direct result of reading that book.
  9. If it's in your vicinity, check it out. I miss it as much as I miss the Pacific Ocean.
  10. Naturally, if this poll included IN-N-OUT, it'd be a bloodbath.
  11. I think you interpreted Zen's post correctly.
  12. BK makes me shit brown water and want to kill myself after eating there the least of all others, so it was the obvious choice.
  13. Yeah, that is so wrong. Reminds me of that Jack-In-The-Box ad from a few years ago with Jack trying to pronounce it: "Mmm, chip-oh-tell!"
  14. I've never met a Tarantino (directed) flick I didn't like, so I'm still looking forward to Death Proof. Haa - wow, that is awesome.
  15. Link By Colin Nickerson, Boston Globe Staff In breakthroughs that burst like bombshells in biology's hottest field, rival scientists in Japan and the United States have announced that they successfully turned human tissue into cells that behave like embryonic stem cells -- potentially medicine's most powerful weapon against an array of deadly diseases. The research seems certain to accelerate the pace of stem cell research. By using a simple recipe of four genes to "reprogram" ordinary adult skin cells into an embryonic state, the new processes bypass the ethical, religious, and politica
  16. I'll second gogo's assertion that season one is great. Also, since you're looking for recommendations - The Wire (HBO) is maybe the best show I've ever seen. There have been four seasons broadcast so far (fifth coming up, I believe) and season four is being released on DVD next month. Start at season one, sit back, and prepare to be entertained, amazed, exhilarated, confused, & devastated.
