Solace, I'd like to see "After the Show" continue to be archived......that's one that contains a lot of info that winds up being referred back to a lot, I think.
The Locator is still on, but has been hung up due to LLP's shortage of time. He was going to show me how to add the profiles but he's been too busy even for that. The poor boy is working too hard.

kidsmoke, you will always be my favorite vc mama.
(seriously, though! bring alissa to chicago! i've got some stuff to discuss with her!)
You're gonna get her all hooked on rawk star boyfriends, aren't you?

I'm fond of the setting that makes every other letter a cap, myself.

I'd like it set to 6 months, Kyle.....I often look up old stuff, like photos when I want to make cover art.
Pretty please?

Hi Ronen,
I just want to say that when I read your topic title, I immediately nodded to myself, and said, "Why yes, yes they do!"
I suppose I haven't been much help here, have I?

I would like to do "Gun", if it hasn't been claimed yet.
I'm sorry to say that "Gun" has already been claimed, but was mistakenly listed on the Wilco Tribute #3 list. Sorry. Is there another song you'd like to do? "Wait Up" is open.....or maybe a Tweedy-sung Golden Smog song? I don't think "Pecan Pie" has been claimed yet....
Let me know, and I promise to list you promptly.

Hi and welcome to Via Chicago!
Make a request for Tribute Volume 2 over in the "Reflecting off of your CD" forum, and one of our many traders is sure to help you out!
(If they don't
: , get back to me. But I'm too busy to help right now.)

Belle, you don't need to worry about it because I still had some good glossy brochure paper, so I went ahead and printed the art for you. It will be in the package I'm sending. But I still don't have your address......never got the email you sent
......so please send a pm with your address, ok?
The rest of youse, if you need the Tribute Vol. 2 cover art, you'll find it pinned in the ELT forum. Great stuff! LLP outdid himself.

Check your pm's.

Hello, my little ragtag band of multitalents!
I just thought you'd all like to know that Tony Margherita's office received their big box of Tribute 2 CD's a bit more than a week ago. I don't think copies have been distributed to the band members yet, since they've been tearing around on tour, but as of this evening, it looks like they have a 2-week break. So I'd suppose they'll likely be home in Chicago for a bit, and it seems probable that they will get their lovingly wrapped, painstakingly crafted CD's very soon.
Thought you'd all want to know so you could commence with the nervous nail-chewing. :coolio Seriously, though, none of you have reason to be nervous at all! These songs are, like, the greatest lost tracks of all time! Except maybe that goofy little version of "Monday" that my gang submitted......
:
The CD's look wonderful....LLP's cool blue art printed onto glossy brochure paper.....very handsome! Then each individual CD was gift wrapped in one of the wraps I'd selected: either insects (with a prominent bee, for all of Jeff's bee references) or dog faces (dogs laughing!) or firemen (Ok, that wrap I just fell in love with....but somehow it seemed exactly right for wrapping Glenn's and Mikael's. Can't explain why.) (We'll call that the "Through flaming doors" wrap.)
Congratulations to all of you on your magnificently-realized Wilco covers! You're more talented than you know. A toast to a job well done!

shakey, how could I ever say no to you, after all that lovely cover art?
"Gun" is all yours, make us proud.
And Jen, I have removed you as requested, but feel free to jump back in anytime. Hope you move into someplace wonderful!

Hey all, the downloadable cover art for Tribute Volume 2 is now available in the "Sunken Treasures Recording Studio". (Go to the main page, click on the Sunken Treasures building.)
Thank you LLP.
Brilliant as always.
Hope the band will forgive me for their extreme makeover as gnomes. Sorry guys....but you look so cute.....and sorry Nels and Pat, the picture predates your joining the band. (Perhaps you'll consider that a good thing.

The trade tree for Tribute Volume 2 will be up imminently. Bridget is handling it, bless her generous soul!
So keep an eye on the "Reflecting..." forum. Sorry this has taken so long. Much else going on at VC.

By the way....COVER ART IS DONE!!!
Prepare to have your socks knocked off, it's stunning! Does justice to all the wonderful music on the disc.
We are figuring out how to host it....it's kinda huge, high quality artwork....then a tree begins.
-
Welcome back, stranger! Hope you're enjoying the new digs! You must be exhausted, here....put your feet up.....have some lemonade....

Hey Ms. Kidsmoke:
[hand raised in proper question asking mode]
What is the latest estimate for release of the artwork and the CD in d/l'able format?
I've told so many people about it 'round my parts, they keep asking me when they can get a copy.
Thank you for your time...
ckc
Chandler, bless your patient self & your excellent manners.
I fully understand why you and Aimee are anxious to be able to share your song. One of my favorites, for sure.
We are waiting on a certain someone to finish up artwork, which I'm told is very, very nearly done. Then we start the tree rolling. (Cover art will be downloadable, the disc itself will be treed as before. Get in as a branch to get it the fastest.) My expectations are that we'll be beginning the tree within the next 2 weeks. Sorry it's been slow, but sometimes our real-life jobs & lives get in the way of our "play".
