Unfortunately, no.....you'll have to pick something that hasn't already been done on either of the previous tributes (and which hasn't been claimed for this one). Via Chicago was done on Tribute #1. See here:

I need to get hold of Vol.'s I and II!

Those of you who need Vols. I and II should post a request over in the "Reflecting" forum, or ask someone to put it up as a BT in the "In A Future Age" forum. I'm sure someone would oblige.....many VC'ers have these.

The artwork is lovely and packed with tracklisting information. It looks especially great when printed on shiny brochure paper which is available at places such as Kinko's, or, I'd imagine, any office supply store.

I didn't realise how bad I was coming across in that post. I never doubted any of you. I merely doubted my own judgement to work out what the hell was going on! I'm so gald I am on the list, although maybe when you here my version of I'm A Wheel you might not be

I can't wait to hear your version of "Wheel". I'm sure it's going to be dynamic and Come spring or summer I think we can probably get this moving. I'm too busy (and sluggish) in the dull dark short days of winter.

Every time I look at this thread I can never quite work out if this thing is going on or not. Is it happening? Is it too late to put my name down for I'm A Wheel? When's the deadline etc?

Richard dear, I have added your name to the claims list.....you too, jhc, although I'm not sure it would be quite legit to do Walken as a tribute before the band has even put it on an album.....but we'll quibble on that later. For now, you're listed.

"This thing" as BBH so aptly referred to it, is in fact still intended to be going on. We haven't arrived at a deadline of any sort because frankly your admins are all currently too busy and rather frayed at the edges. (Plus it's Halloween and this particular admin really ought to be getting the pumpkins carved and the candy into the bowl... ) However, bear in mind that Via Chicago has successfully put out two wildly-enthusiastically-received CD's , in the space of 2 1/2 years, which is a better pace than many real bands who aren't simultaneously running a message board and trying to put out the Halloween candy.

So I'd say it really will happen, and like the previous two, will be a thing of wonder and astonishment. But y'all are going to have to be patient for now. Think of it as building anticipation and suspense, ok?

but unfortunately, jared, your song (No Poetry) has already been claimed. These claims were made quite awhile ago, though, and people often drop out, so you never know. Once we get serious about getting this thing off the ground, we can revisit the claims lists and see who is still in. In the meantime, you might want to select a different song, but remember, we don't redo songs that were already done on Wilco Tributes #1 and #2.
