Make sure a trusting and sober realationship is there. My co-writer and I have been friends for awhile now and not until this past year would he take me in. He has seen two major fall outs of mine and was not sure of the whole thing. We esablished trust and most of all a friendship. Finding some one to pick you apart w/out having verbal or physical altercations. I have one plate, nine screws, and three pins in the left arm from co-writting with the wrong fella. I'm in a great place, I feel like I have two gf's now, and I mean that in a positive way.

My guitar playing comes from a percussion backround. My buddy an all srtings player is learning drums and I find it really cool to see what we come up with. I use to study for tests in High School by memorizing text books with drum beats while playing.

I just got Doug Martsch live set from 02....................SBD! On Etree 6-23-02, it's stellar. His solo stuff, some BTS, some Halo Benders, some Bowie, some Cat Stevens, some VU, and Ottis to name a few covers. Wow, what a must have gem of a show!

"New Direction"?????????????? Jim's had this sound since day one. The early recordings going back to his teen years have every bit of 80's written all over it. (Take My Breath Away)(West End Girls)...ect. This is just a long going love for the music, he, we grew up with. Those of you who haven't followed his whole catalouge, live cover's, and take on music just won't get it. Start to finish it kills Z, and I'm going out on a limb but I think it's one of the best albums of the decade. Jim's biggest musical influence was The Muppet Show for christ's sake.

Staring in August I will have to drive 500 miles a week for school. Well worth it I guess. I found an add in a car mag that sells hybrid converters for a $1,000. Ex.......A 1996 honda civic got 36 miles per gallon and after the hybrid mod it got some where near 96 miles per gallon. It ranges per vehichle, model, make, year, ect., but I might look into this. 500 miles a week and my car gets 250 miles per fill up. So filling up twice a week at 45 bucks would be around $400.00 a month excluding the hour and a half drive twice a week to pick up and drop off my daughter..............so something

As far as writing goes, I have been bringing my songs to other people(one's that I trust and admire) to shed some light or basicly tear me down to feeling like complete shit. This might sound a bit off the wall but when someone you really trust can give it to you straight forward and not blow smoke up your ass, it in the long run will help. I have found that my songs are transforming into real musical pieces and not just chord patterns with words.
