  1. Nice work, Kate! Very proud of you.
  2. I guess some people probably have this worse than I did, but mine pretty much went away in like 3 or 4 days. You could still see the marks, but the itching subsided fairly quickly.
  3. Maybe he's, um, into some things that, um, most girls won't do.
  4. Bradley mentioned that the ump called him a "piece of shit", but I'm guessing that there was more to it than just that, because the first base coach implied that he said something that may have had some racial implications.
  5. That ump just got suspended for the rest of the season. I wonder what he said to ol' MB.
  6. The Bears don't need a great quarterback, they just need someone who won't fuck it up for the defense. I think Griese can handle that.
  7. Let's not forget, this man is a politician. A crazy one for sure, but he knows how to play the game.
  8. It's true. So many different people were on that album that you can connect Nels to just about anyone who was semi-popular in the '90s.
  9. You could actually cut out the Kira link all together if you want to tighten it up (although yeah, Watt was married to Kira, and still plays with her in Dos). Henry Rollins sang on "Sexual Military Dynamics", on Mike Watt's Ball-Hog or Tug Boat? album.
  10. He's not talking about the holocaust at Columbia. Clearly this guy is a nutjob, but I think this appearance at Columbia is being blown way out of proportion. A New York state legislator wants to cut off some funding for the university because of it. What kind of bullshit is that? I mean, yeah, he's got some deplorable things to say, but what's the harm in letting him speak? Are we so sensitive that we cannot even allow someone to speak if they may say something that we deem to be wrong? The fact is, this whole controversy is being drummed up by the neo-cons who are beating the war drum
  11. How do I know that that's really ikol?
  12. But what are their records at home vs. on the road? Those individual player stats could all just be park factors at play.
  13. I have accepted that the Tigers are done, yes. But no, I'm not with you on rooting for the Cubs. I can't do that, or else Reni would string me up. Plus, it's really fun to tease my Cubs fan co-workers. Go Brewers!
  14. I don't know, I'm part of this country, and personally I like seeing different matchups than the ones we see year after year, and on national TV throughout the regular season.
  15. This is a fair point, though I think a case could be made that the difference between having homefield or not may not be big enough to do anything drastic. Kind of a judgement call I think. But you're right, that is an advantage to winning the division that I'd forgotten about. My point was just that they're in the playoffs already anyway. http://www.sportsclubstats.com/MLB/America.../Red%20Sox.html
  16. I don't know. Last year the Tigers were bad in the second half, and finished the regular season by being swept by the Royals. They coasted through the first two rounds of the playoffs.
  17. To be fair though, the only real difference between getting caught and maintaining their lead is whether they'll be playing the Angels or the Indians in the playoffs.
  18. He's putting in a historic season, without which they wouldn't be anywhere near where they are now. Any Yankees fans complaining about him are complete turds.
