  1. I thought this week's episode was great. And I'm looking forward to the Richard epi too... I think it's going to be the most question-answering installment so far this season. :dancing Don't let me down, Lost!!

  2. Also, did you notice that the 3 books that Sawyer had on his night stand were all books that he read on the Island? (via Lostpedia, of course)

The only one I noticed on my first watch was Watership Down, which was a big one because it basically led to Sayid torturing Sawyer in season 1.

I just love what they did with Sawyer in the sideflash, how he said he could've become a criminal or a cop and chose cop.

I didn't read the big spoiler about MIB's mom, but CURSE YOU u2roolz for putting it out there!! Do you know how hard it is not to click on that button?!? :realmad

  3. This episode is the stuff.

I wonder who thought of using the episode of Little House On The Prairie?

One of the most interesting parts of this season so far was Flocke talking about his mom.

A really amazing episode yet again.

I really liked seeing Charlie's brother briefly.

Yes, yes, yes to you all.

I LOVE that Miles & Sawyer are partners in the sideways flash. I LOVE that they showed Sawyer watching Little House. I LOVE that we saw Charlie's brother!!! :wub I LOVE that LaFleur was Sawyer's safe word... :lol

I wanted Juliet to be Miles' friend that he set Sawyer up with, but I still have hope that Juliet will appear again this season. I know the sideways flash has its detractors, but I am just loving it. It's almost like a whole new show. :lol

And... GO SAWYER!!! I knew that he knew what he was doing all along. Me, on the other hand... it took until Widmore's cronies came out of the jungle with guns to realize who "Zoe" was... And so Widmore is NOT on "team MIB"? And MIB is being just as sweet, kind, and manipulative as Jacob... makes me = :stunned

Just another fabulous episode, it will take me some more time to digest it.

Only one complaint: can someone please give Claire a comb?

  4. BUT... Kwon was only listed once, and didn't Ilana make a comment that she didn't know which of them was a candidate?

Also (unrelated) - MIB told Ben that someone needs to stay behind to protect the island, when not too long ago he told Sawyer it was just an island and didn't need protecting. I'm starting to think Jacob may be the "good" guy after all. I do have to say though, that both Jacob and MIB are master manipulators. Judging by Ben's choice to stay on the beach, he seems to have regained his faith in Jacob.

  5. So, Ilana said there are only six candidates left. I tried counting them - Sawyer, Hurley, Jack, Sayid, Sun and/or Jin... am I forgetting someone else or are we to assume that Kate is also a candidate based on the lighthouse list?

  6. I suppose it could be possible that Hurley encountered Richard via the DI in the 70's. We know Sawyer knows who Richard is. It's not my intent to nitpick by any means, I just couldn't remember if Hurley & Richard had ever shared screen time.

Also, WHERE IS SAWYER?!? I'm ready for him to come back now. He was my first big crush on the show... :blush, in love with a woman who I used to hate but became one of my favorite characters, and now that he's no longer using DI hair products (what happened there?!?), he is looking pretty damn fine again. :dancing

One more comment upon a re-watch... Ben, at the end. He really has NO ONE. I couldn't tell if Sun's reaction to him helping her with the tarp was kind or still sort of "I want you to die". I don't expect Jack or Hurley to care one whit about him, but I was sad when they came back to the beach and just kind of ignored him. IS Ben going to be the one to be the next caretaker of the island?

Man, I am sad for this show to end. Looking forward to the rest of the season, no doubt, but sad... :(

  7. Jack met Richard in 1977 when Jack was looking for Danial Faraday, who had just been shot by his mom. Richard and Eloise helped Jack, Kate and Sayid get the Jughead out of the tunnels. It was in the episode "Follow the Leader" from last season.

I think last week's episode was the first time he met Hurley.

Thank you! Geez, talk about a brain fart... :lol

  8. I just had to pop in and add my $0.02...

I thought this episode was pretty stellar, especially considering how abysmal the acting was (IMO) in the first scene on the island. I have been, for the most part, really interested in the "sideways flash" stories this season, but this one was the best. It just encompassed everything Ben has lived on the island SO well.

The Widmore thing has me scratching my head. I'm happy to see him show up again, as he was SO instrumental in the whole story and I didn't want them to discount that. But I really can't even hazard a guess as to what his role will be.

Lost is the KING of beach reunion scenes, because they manage to make me cry every time. Yes, I'm a sentimental fool, but I was bawling my eyes out when Hurley & Jack reunited with Sun.

And finally, I thought it was hilarious how they brought Nikki & Paulo back into the story. At first, I asked myself, "How the heck does Miles know that they were buried alive? With diamonds?!?". Then I told myself, "he can talk to the dead, dummy." :blush

Now, a question (just one for now, as I've only seen the episode once. I'm sure more will come along :mellow ):

Can someone refresh my memory of when Hurley and Jack met Richard in the past? Or did they? I just can't remember, though it seemed they all recognized each other.

  9. We assume Ben summoned the smoke monster because he said he did. I have no reason to doubt that.

I'm not saying I disagree, but the irony of that statement made me :lol, considering that we all know Ben is a pathological liar.

I am sort of thinking that the smoke monster we saw previously, was not MIB, but rather Jacob. It wasn't until Ben killed Jacob that MIB could become the smoke monster.

Nice theory. It hadn't crossed my mind, but I like it.

  10. I think Christian is no more. MIB used Christian's body to steer Locke into the direction that was necessary for him to evntually assume Locke's body. I think that's all there is to that. As to Richard, I feel like we'll probably get some back story on him, the black rock and the earlier days of Jacob v MIB. Also what of Widmore? He's bound to play a role before this is all over.

    Not a huge spoiler, but...

There will be an Richard-centric episode on March 23rd.

  11. I think we'll get some kind of answer regarding Christian. He has been too prominent in the last couple of seasons for them to shrug him off. I'd forgotten about Ben pulling that package out of the ventilation... :hmm

  12. Yeah, I don't disagree, and it's too bad. I predict a LOT of people pissed after the finale. I expect the finale to be amazing, but even if it isn't, I'd like to think that the overall stellar quality of the show will be what sticks out for people. I know it's asking a lot.

  13. There are a lot of questions that don't need answers. And some that might be better answered by our own imaginations. I don't have a problem with this.

:yes That's the beauty of the show. It takes into account that most Lost viewers are of slightly higher intelligence than your normal television watcher.

  14. Well, I certainly wouldn't say no to Liam Neeson...

Or Vincent being god, for that matter. I wanted to make some kind of dyslexic dog joke here, but then I realized that would be pretty lame.

  15.

    Awesome. :cheers

    Wasn't Nadia murdered?

Sayid was definitely talking about Nadia, not Shannon. I think the whole Sayid/Shannon story is something they abandoned. It was a terrible little side story and I think they realized that and have moved on like it didn't happen.

Nadia was hit by a car. I'm not going to say she WASN'T murdered, because I think she was, but it WAS Ben who told Sayid she was murdered, so if you believe Ben, then... But both women died in Sayid's arms. Seeing as how Shannon has been absent so far in the alternate timeline makes me believe (and hope!) that she will not come back this season. I think I got my timelines mixed up in my head, and was still thinking that Nadia was alive and married to Sayid's brother when he made that statement. Then I remembered that island Sayid was married to Nadia when she was killed.

  16. HOLY CRAP!!!

I finally had a chance to watch Tuesday night's episode. :stunned

Random thoughts that are occurring to me but I'm still reeling just a bit:

-Possessed Sayid scares the poop out of me.

-I did notice Jack in the hallway at the hospital.

-Please, please, please, for the love of god PLEASE tell me that Sayid was talking about Nadia and not Shannon when he said the only thing he ever wanted died in his arms.

-The woman who plays Nadia is gorgeous. I'm a straight female, but she has some sort of earthy beautiful quality about her... yowza.

-Did anyone else think that MIB gave Kate somewhat of an "I don't want YOU here" look at the end? I wouldn't be surprised if crazy Claire ends up killing her.

-Where are Jack, Hurley & Sawyer?!?

-Keamy shocked me. I thought it was going to be the guy whose wife Sayid had tortured, but when he turned around... me = WTF?!?

-How come Jacob died from a stab wound but MIB was all like, "why'd you go and do that?" when Sayid stabbed him?

-Every time I think I have the tiniest grasp on which of Jacob and MIB is light and which is dark, things get all turned around and upside down. Right now, MIB's crew is a whole lot more frightening than Jacob's.

-I'm starting to think that maybe Miles isn't dead meat and will play a role in the end. This makes me happy.

-WHO is coming to the island?!?

Wow, wow, wow. This is getting intense. :blink
