  1. okay, so i understand that it doesnt matter what any of them do right now (in terms of how their futures play out). whether it was jack who saved ben, or the others who saved ben, or even if juliet had been able to fix him...he will still become the ben we know and love/hate in the present. SO. if the past already happened, and they cant really "change" anything per se because it will all lead to their present/futures as they know them no matter what events happen right now, then i still don't understand why the losties don't remember all of this happening before in their pasts. can anyone explain this to me? :stunned

Because even though they're in the past, they're in their own present. It's like what Miles was trying to explain to Hurley when he told Hurley to shoot him. If Hurley did shoot him, Miles would die because they are in their present. Desmond had a memory of Daniel telling him to find his mother because Desmond is "special".

Also, Jack was never going to save Ben, nor was Juliet. Because what happened was that Kate & Sawyer brought him to the Others, and that's what always happened.

I hope that makes some sense...

  2. Holy crap, Bridget, I never even thought of the library. I had Netflix one at a time, but then upgraded to 2 at a time a month ago to expedite the viewing. Thanks for the reminder to switch back to one.

:thumbup I'm just mad that it took me two seasons to remember the wonderful library!!

  3. I have netflix one-at-a-time, and did that for the first two seasons, then I asked myself why I wasn't checking out whole seasons from the library!!! Much more efficient. I should have season 3 in the next day or two, and I'm third in line for season 4. :dancing

  4. "Hello, Ben. Welcome back to the land of the living." *chills*

So, did Richard know that Ben would be shot, hence telling him to have patience when Ben first asked Richard to take him away?

  5. I love season 2.

I do too, it just took me a while. Due to my lack of knowledge of gangsters & longshoremen, and with the towers drug drama going on I found myself lost a lot. It all definitely came together in the end though.

  6. I never thought cats needed baths either, but this is my first so I'm just going by what my vet said. Weird. What about brushing teeth? She told me I'd have to do that too. I give her dental treats (the only kind I've found that she likes actually). Do any of you brush your kittie's teeth?

  7. I had another cat that i leash trained. He was wicket cool and loved everyone and wasn't afraid of people or dogs, and he did ok on the leash. I just don't recommend it for a kitty that is scared of people, cars and dogs.

Yeah, it's a good point. She gets scared when she goes to the vet in her carrier, it would probably not be a good idea to take her out on a leash. She might be OK in a stroller though, probably freak out a bit the first time, but once she realizes stroller walks don't end in shots she'd probably be OK. I just get sad when she sits at the window and stares. Could be she's just watching, though and not necessarily wanting out.

I'm so glad I have VC for advice!

  8. Yeah, my cat is the opposite of easy-going. She doesn't like to be brushed, doesn't like her nails clipped. She will tolerate getting her ears cleaned with a Qtip. I'm dreading (and procrastinating) her first bath and toothbrushing.

  9. It's a pretty ridiculous story that strives to be of Lord of the Rings caliber. It does come up a little short, but its really interesting and well done. I do have a couple questions that maybe someone could help me out with. First of all, I'm sort of unsure about the beginning of the story. It's clear that William pretends to be a fawn in the forest to lure Margaret, whom he fell in love with, and when she finds him, he becomes a human. Then I'm a little unsure.. does he rape her or does she fall in love immediately when he becomes a man. He clearly impregnates her, and by Hazard's of Love 2, they're clearly in love, but the beginning of their relationship is a little unclear.

On whether or not Margaret is raped - seems to be different opinions on this one, it's not really clear.

Also, does the Queen order the Rake to steal Margaret? I thought he was just an evil man and stole her, and when the Queen finds out as he tries to cross the river, she decides to help him steal her to break her son's heart. The line of best fit article says otherwise, but I was never under the impression that The Rake and the Queen had any relationship prior to the crossing of the river.

My mistake, now that I go back and look at the lyrics, you are right, she just helps him across the river.

  10. Do any of you have indoor cats that you've leash-trained? I live on the third floor of a condo, so letting my cat out is not an option. She loves to explore though, and I would really like to be able to walk her. My concerns are that she's 10 months now (I wish I'd thought of this when I got her 5 months ago...), she's afraid of people and REALLY afraid of dogs, and people walk dogs a lot around here. Also, judging by the state of my hands and arms whenever I clip her nails, I'm not sure I'd ever be able to get a harness on her and live to tell about it.

Is there anyone out there who has a "scaredy" cat like me and has been able to leash train them?

  11. "The Bird is The Word"

Another long bit that had my crying with laughter..

My siblings and I watch the show pretty regularly, and my brother trained my 2-year-old nephew when asked "Logan, have you heard?" to start dancing and singing "bird, bird, bird, bird is the word". It was awesome.
