  1. Getting close to finishing.

Season 5 has been so awful (not awful in quality, but awful in the choices of McNulty and others) that we've been dragging on this season. Not to mention I think we're stalling on finishing the series. 3 more episodes to go.

I stalled on the last few episodes too because I didn't want the show to end! I need to watch all seasons again... I think it's been about a year.

  2. I'm still chuckling about the whole "scissor me!" thing. I mean, not once but TWICE, Erin throws scissors point-first at Michael with that vapid yet excited look on her face. I'm also still trying to decide if I want Andy & Erin to end up together. On the one hand, enough with the office romances already! But on the other hand, they're so cute with each other...

  3. So the previous "clip" episode of The Office was pretty lame, but I thought last night was pretty good. I'm warming up to Erin... "Scissor me!". And I wouldn't mind having a fluffer-nutter in David Wallace's hot tub, if you know what I mean... :shifty

    SUCK IT!

Shades of the old Office -

Erin: "I've got a big box, yes I do! I've got a big box, how 'bout you?"

Oscar: "I think you don't know what you're saying..."

  4. Boone: "If this thing goes down, I'm sticking with you." Love that Frogurt has his sleeping mask on sitting between John & Boone... :dancing

I forgot how hot Boone is. Can't say I miss Shannon.

So now I'm watching the S6 premiere for real... :lol

  5. No one has said anything yet! Why?

That's what I'm wondering. Getting ready to watch online now, I have been waiting MONTHS for this moment!!! Because of my inability to stay off the internet last night, I know this much (I refuse to use spoiler tags as the episode has already aired):

Juliet is dead. :realmad :realmad :realmad

Sayid is dead (or is he?).

    The island is underwater.

Desmond was on the plane. :blink

Shannon was NOT on the plane.

    MIB = smoky.

Nah, I don't get too concerned about being "spoiled"... :lol

  6. Carlton Cuse & Damon Lindelof just announced on Jimmy Kimmel that the Season Finale will air on SUNDAY May 23rd.

I'll have my thoughts on tonight's show in a bit. I'll be sure to use a spoiler function.

    Sunday? Why a Sunday?

Ah well, I'm still pissed that I haven't seen the premiere yet... :realmad :realmad :realmad

  7. I am not too happy that the night and time changed. I am out and about on Tuesday evenings, and I will be lucky if I get home by 9pm every Tuesday.

I'm still trying to figure out why ABC would change the night for the LAST season? I mean, really, the show's gonna be over in 5 months, why change it up now?

And it's still killing me that I'm not watching LOST right now... :realmad

  8. Scrubs is better now that JD finally left, but still not great.

I could have sworn last year was the last season for Scrubs. I haven't watched it at all this year... I only watched the last season due to my sense of loyalty.

I love Community, but I love pretty much anything Joel McHale does.

I'm going crazy anticipating the LOST premiere...

  9. could be...

there were a bunch more movie references in last nights episode too.

Ah... haven't seen last night's episode yet.

I'm not saying it's like Arrested Development great or anything, but I can say it's the first new show that's come along in the last few years that I really enjoy watching. I'm curious to see where they take it.

  10. Community is pretty damn funny too, but sometimes tries too hard to reference 80's movies so far.

Did you see that the series premiere was dedicated to John Hughes? I thought that was maybe why they crammed so much "Breakfast Club" shtick into the ep. But Ahbed's John Bender monologue had us rolling.

  11. But, am I the only person who really enjoys the absurdity of Community?

I LOVE Community! Of course, I also love The Soup and I have had a crush on Joel McHale for a looooong time. But I think it's pretty witty & funny.

I liked last night's Office too.

  12. Just got an e-mail :cryin:

    Hello friend,

Yesterday those good people at Cooking Vinyl put out a statement on our behalf that reads thus:

"After eight happy years The Broken Family Band has decided to give it a rest. We can’t pin it on musical differences, we’ve just decided to quit while we’re ahead. We’ve had a fantastic time being in this group together, and we’re all still friends so we haven’t ruled out doing stuff together in the future. There’s no dramatic ending, but these shows are our farewell to The Broken Family Band. We’d like to thank everyone who’s helped us out and given us so much pleasure since we started, but we’re not going to."

Although in reality we will get around to thanking everyone!

    The shows are:

Wed 21st Oct LONDON, "Relentless" Garage

Thu 22nd Oct SHEFFIELD, Academy 2

Fri 23rd Oct LIVERPOOL, Academy 2

Sat 24th Oct CARDIFF, Chapter Arts Centre (SWN Festival)

Sun 25th Oct OXFORD, The Jericho

Plus the magnificent End Of The Road festival in a couple of weeks.

We're also going to be adding a proper farewell show in the pub where we first played together, which we'll announce shortly.

While we're about it, Cooking Vinyl also said:

To coincide with these dates, the band will be releasing a digital download single, Cinema vs House (FRYDL404) on Monday 19th October. Taken from their critically acclaimed album, Please & Thank You, the track is a witty dissection of the eternal dating seesaw, which starts sweetly and ends up as a rock juggernaut. The single will also feature their cover of the Mann & Kolber standard I Love How You Love Me.

    With love,

    TBFBx

  13. On a side note, the spoiler text thing has gotten ridiculous.

I agree. I guess I'm just used to perusing Lostpedia. I don't post there, but they chastise for anything that hints of a spoiler. On this particular one it seems pretty clear they're just fucking with us. I like it. :yes

Lost: Is Charlie Pace Returning to the Island?

    E! Online

Natalie Abrams Natalie Abrams – Fri Jun 5, 8:24 pm ET

Los Angeles (E! Online) – Update, 5:22 p.m.: Mystery solved. Dom'll be on another ABC series next season. Sorry, Charlie (fans).

In a new ABC promo, Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) is seen playing foosball with network stars Derek (Patrick Dempsey, Grey's Anatomy), Jules (Courteney Cox, Cougar Town) and Jay (Ed O'Neil, Modern Family). Yes, we said Charlie, which raises the question: Is he back for the sixth and final season of Lost?

Dominic's publicist would only say this: "He may or may not be returning to Lost. Viewers will just have to stay tuned."

In the promo, Derek jokes, "You're so dead," to which Charlie replies, "Actually, I was." Key word: was! Are they just playing with us, or is his return for real?

That last one is fan-made but very cool.

...And pictures aren't showing up in my preview so I had to make them clicky. Weird. Don't know what I'm doing wrong...

Sorry to put the whole thing in spoilers, but I don't want anyone mad at me! Oh, the mystery... Though I'm sure you all beat me to the punch anyway...
