i am so pissed that i missed them on letterman last night. i remembered when i got home from work... but in the next 6 hours... *poof*. hazards of old age...

end of history is great. i just found out fionn is coming to town soon, looking forward to seeing him play live!

saw him live a couple weeks ago without about 30 other people... late on a sunday night + a small crowd, he only played 7 songs but he was pretty damn amazing.

again. not as good as A Certain Trigger, but i am really enjoying it today...

indeed. i think i listened to both albums at least 3 times apiece today. i wasn't excited for the show or anything...

i almost hate to tell you this, but i just found out that james hunter in playing in boulder 9/19. EDIT - though maybe he'll be in MN shortly after that... you always seem to be either a few days before or a few days after us on the national tours... and more to add to my initial excitement: devendra banhart 9/10 rilo kiley 9/11 guster 9/20 two gallants 9/22 forget the weekend, it's gonna be a hell of a two weeks!!!

their first time in denver tonight. it. was. glorious. i had so much fun. i don't think the venue (only 200 capacity) was sold out but it was pretty full and the crowd was really into it. np: and yes, i'm obsessive. just in case you were wondering...

seeing them tonight. i think i may have to re-assess my initial lukewarm reaction to this album. listening to it today for the first time in months and i'm really enjoying it a lot.

did we read the same interview? the guy even admitted to "being a fucking asshole". and as for all the cameras and shit, i totally agree with him. i can't tell you how many times i'm at a small venue just to have at least one person with a fancy camera prowl up and down the front row getting a shot from every possible angle. the merry swanskter has a great post about this exact problem at a recent brakes show in denver: http://www.merryswankster.com/archives/200..._most_an_1.html but then again, i admit to being a total ben bridwell fangirl, so maybe i'm just biased.

i'm loving all that stuff. loving the album actually, after a few listens.

1. yes. 2. sorry, man! 3. well, only 1 listen through so far, so it's really too early to tell. on the initial run-through i was neither disappointed nor blown away. will give it many more listens over the coming weeks.

just found out fionn is coming to town in a few weeks - opening for willy mason. i feel i must go.

though the implication keeps popping up, i've yet to see a link to an article/interview where ryan states he made the album to appease the label. me - i'm listening to the new album because it's fucking amazing. adult contemporary crap? hardly.
