wow. that was pretty much awesome. thanks you guys for the shearwater pimping... i don't think richmond fontaine could've matched tonight's show. one question though... is meiburg always that intense?!? dude scared me just a little bit... damn, great show.

i do agree. while i like the entire album, i think my favorite tracks are 'dear employee', 'summerlong' and 'take the 227th exit'. i have not.

bands mentioned already that i can totally vouch for: drag the river carissa's wierd the teeth man man spinto band also, two of my most favorite local bands right now (saw them both last saturday, incidentally... ) hot iq's everything absent or distorted if you live anywhere in the denver area and have a chance to see either of them, do no hesitate - both bands are killer live. plus, the hot iq's have been getting some national exposure. they were supposed to play this year at sxsw, but had to pull out because drummer elaine's dad passed away. i believe they were at summerfest, an

while i can't comment on the metro... i'm really pissed that i didn't see tortoise a couple weeks ago in denver. it was one of those nights where i was feeling broke and tired even though i knew i'd regret it later. let us know how the show is!

my opinion? boxer. i loved alligator, but this band didn't really completely click with me until this year's release.

enough craig biggio!!! ok, it's one thing that he started tonight going 3 for 3 against the rockies for his 2998th, 2999th & 3000th hit... but now we're in extra innings and he isn't letting up. no, wait... fucking rox just lost the 2nd extra inning game in the past week where they'd taken the lead. it's just lucky for him i was a fan of his before the rockies even existed... damn rockies.

i like cold roses better than jacksonville. i like cold roses better than easy tiger. i think for me easy tiger and jacksonville are pretty equal as far as my enjoyment. ups damn well better leave my orange vinyl at my door since i will probably be at work when they deliver tomorrow... sometimes they do, sometimes they leave that stupid sticky note..... and i don't want to wait anymore.
