yeah, i learned the hard way that if i have itunes open when i plug in my ipod anything i've listened to will be "erased" in a sense. so my stats for the first few months i was on last.fm are waaaay off, but i figure it'll all balance out eventually.

i use yamipod, which was really aggravating and inconsistent until i saw a post on their boards to use the beta version. since downloading that version i haven't had any trouble. i use it only to get my ipod tracks to last.fm though as i don't really like way it's set up... i still use itunes to listen to the ipod when it's connected to the computer.

ok, first off, know that i am really cheap. or frugal, whatever. i only just got cable (channels 1-99) a few months ago. i don't have tivo, or dvr, or even that onscreen guide to know what's playing. so i rely on the tv guide channel to tell me what i might want to watch. i turned the tv guide channel on a couple of minutes ago and to my shock they were playing the "four winds" video. it was really fucking weird. that is all.

shit, i work alone in the office for 15-20 hours per week, always plugged into the ipod, and i still can't keep up! crannies. i loved this album from the first listen as well. i think you and i may be alone in that assessment.

totally. i feel like i don't want to miss out on the next great thing, but this means trying to listen to dozens of new albums every month. oftentimes those would-be "grower" albums will fall by the wayside because i just run out of time to listen to everything that i want to. too often i feel lucky to give an album ONE listen. i've constantly got albums on my iPod that i mean to check out, but before i know it they're months old. honestly, this is when i rely heavily on album reviews from sources that i trust to tell me what to listen to.

since the first time i heard it, it always reminds me of david ford's "cheer up (you miserable fuck)". totally different songs, but i can't help it with the lyrical similarity. i still love the voxtrot, though...
