I'm thinking of a time when I was in high school and I asked for the White Album for christmas. I'm pretty sure it was the happiest day in my dad's life, well until a couple years ago at least, when I asked for Johnny Cash Unearthed... Yes, I got the album all right. In vinyl form even.

speaking of dishing out money, this reminds me of a little exchange over at oink when boys and girls first leaked... user 1 - Could anyone talk you into ripping this into LAME -V0 or FLAC? user 2 - Buy the cd. user 1 - no. i'd rather download a quality rip, and throw a wadded-up ten at craig when they play here next month. as long as i control where my money goes, nary a cent will find its way into rich egan's bank account. ever. classic.

I think maybe you'll want to try YamiPod? My last.fm stats were off for the first few months I was on there because it tracked what I listened to on iTunes on my computer, but not from my iPod when it wasn't connected. With YamiPod you can submit tunes that you listen to on your iPod straight to last.fm, which keeps your stats. YamiPod I hope that helps!!!

Ha, it's only 11:30 saturday night here... just got home from a party where i DIDN'T have to drive, and am having me a couple more drinks and continuing with Memphis...

Subtle - For Hero: For Fool I've only listened to the album once, but I like it. Reminds me some of Gnarls Barkley in a few spots. If you care about such things, you can see the p'fork review here.

Can't wait for the show on the 14th here in Denver. They're playing the Paramount, which is a sit down venue, which kind of bums me out...

Damien Rice - 9 wow... this album is growing on me... really really a lot.

I've listened to the album another couple of times.... I really really like it. There's just something about Damo and the way he wears his heart on his sleeve. Also, I can't get over how Damien and Lisa's vocals complement each other so well, it's nice to see her pretty well represented on the new album. Whatever grabbed me with "O" seems to be working again with "9". I like it more everytime I hear it (thus far).

ooooooh, i've been waiting for that ben folds. is it out "for real" now?

I joined just about a month ago, it seems like they have a good selection. I'm pretty unhappy about the rate increase too...
