But hell,he already did an embarrassing career stopgap, grab bag of old rock covers and assorted junk. Remember Everybody's Rockin? -
Jay Farrar (and Friends): New Multitudes

By the way...this is a VERY good record. The Jay stuff sounds like Jay (which is comforting, but obvious), but the stuff from Will, Yim and Anders are REALLY nice. -
Spark...not everything is a conspiracy.

2012 Baseball Season!!!
Sweet Papa Crimbo replied to Sweet Papa Crimbo's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
I saw this today on the MLB network with the sound down (listening to Springsteen's keynote address on the computer and watching the tv) and I said "WHAT THE FUCK" so loud I scared my wife in her office. -
DJIA was 8776.39 in December of 2008. ...6626.4 in March of 2009

Jay Farrar (and Friends): New Multitudes

No...but he keeps putting himself in a situation where it can easily be perceived as competing with Jeff. -

So...now the story is that Wilco was the second choice to do the Billy Bragg collaboration because they were on tour. Yeah. -
Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band

Because there is no 'rap' song. There is one verse sing/rapped by a background singer. -
So Your FAVORITE WILCO SONG OF ALL TIME is a song Jeff doesn't even sing on. Really. sheesh

Not enough attention being paid to this rousing, angry record here. http://www.americansongwriter.com/2012/03/bruce-springsteen-wrecking-ball/ -
'nuff sed.

Since it's Billy singing it, I think of this as a Billy Bragg song. Just saying...

What is this...a bait and switch?

The feeling getting some impressions here: Kony is a really bad guy Kony is no longer in Uganda The group behind the Kony video is misrepresenting things a bit in order to make sure he is brought to justice.

Bringing ideas and issues to the table for debate is probably more important than getting delegates for a protest candicacy. However, in this beauty contest that the primary system has devolved into makes serious debate and consideration of issues seem silly and old fashioned. It is looking inevitable that Mr. Obama will get his second term. With the economy still in the crapper and our military neck deep in the quagmire of all quagmires, I was at least expecting a lively race, or an interesting campaign with clear cut choices and debate over the issues at hand. Guess I am a dreamer.

2012 Baseball Season!!!

I don't think Theo has been able to assemble the parts for a run this year or next, but he is cleaning up a LOT of problems. 2014 should be a good year for your guys. -
There aren't any heroes here. We are all being distracted by silly, irrelevant issues. We are rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band

This one is an astouding release for an arsist that is 39 years into his career. It is polarizing the t-shirt fans and really cements Bruce's position as an American Troubador. This is a really pissed off record with some really challenging musical moments. I, for one really appreciate his desire to challenge people's perceptions about his music, his muse. -
Interesting point. Maybe because she is a student studying law at the nation's oldest Jesuit Catholic Univesity. I hope it isn't because she's pretty, young and white. She was local and had a point of view, well spoken and had an affliation with a Catholic school...

Be careful what you wish for. (Public Funds? What Public funds) Our world is coarse and people aren't nice. Might want to be something we want to recognize..
