I also seem to recall hearing that Lily was real, but she didn't kill herself in the way that he described and he wasn't there when it happened.

You have it right? I ordered the book, so eventually I'll need the files if you've got them.
I've been streaming them from NPR.

Album Canned Over Label Battle
Danger Mouse, David Lynch, Sparklehorse album canned over label battleRisk of legal action forces 'Dark Night Of The Soul' music being pulled
An official CD album of the forthcoming project by Danger Mouse, Sparklehorse and David Lynch, will not be released due to the risk of legal action from Danger Mouse's record label, EMI.
The 'Dark Night Of The Soul' album features vocalists including The Strokes' Julian Casablancas, Iggy Pop and Frank Black – but due to what Danger Mouse (real name Brian Burton) described in a statement as an "ongoing dispute" with the label, it won't be officially released.
The album was set to be released with a book featuring photographs by Lynch. The book will still be released next month, but will come with a blank CD bearing a sticker with the message: "For Legal Reasons, enclosed CD-R contains no music. Use it as you will."
In the statement Burton said he hoped that "people lucky enough to hear the music, by whatever means, are as excited by it as he is".
So basically steal the album and burn it to the blank disc provided with the book.

Serious vibes directly to your dad's chest.

I listened tot he first half before I left work and I was really into it.

Thanks, guys. I'm bracing myself but trying to stay optimistic. Having a screaming new computer is helping quite a bit.

NPR is streaming the entire album here
Dark Night of the Soul won't be released until July — and, at least for now, no legal downloadable version of the album will be offered. Once the album and book are finally released, only 5,000 copies will be available. But you can hear the entire collection here on NPR Music as an Exclusive First Listen.5000 copies? I just ordered it.

Also there was a NKOTB song where they all introduced themselves. I think it was a rap. On their first album. Not sure if they all sang.
Oh come on, B, don't pretend like you don't know every word of that song.
I know this was pages ago, but I'd like to supply the clip that goes along with the mention of a link between "I'll Fight" and Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

I swear it was the first thing I thought of when I heard the song.

There is a single speck of dust on the mixing console to the right of the red and yellow speaker. It is approximately 1/10000th of an inch in length. I can almost make out its atomic structure. I'm sure it plays a significant role during the recording process.
If this is aimed at my Garden Weasel discovery, lay off, I'm trying to pass some time at work.

On the third row of tape stuck to the column on the far left (the tape used to mark the tracks on the boards) there is one segment that says "Feist" and what looks like a crude drawing of the business end of a Garden Weasel!
Maybe I'm seeing things, but I don't think so...

I'll Fight = caused a marital dispute = I loved it = my wife said it reminded her of Cameron in Ferris Bueller's Day Off (I'll go, I'll go, I'll go)???
I just wanted to comment that this is EXACTLY the first thing that popped into my head too, and it made me laugh out loud. So tell your wife she isn't the only one.

Audrey Hepburn in anything.

Maybe Julie Newmar as the devil on the Twilight Zone. I think she was one of the most beautiful people ever.

The first time I had it done was a non-issue. A weirdo old surgeon who reminded me of someone out of Naked Lunch gave me novocaine and was done in minutes. The next time, a nice Chinese lady, after explaining that I might die if I moved my head AT ALL during the procedure, stuck a big needle in my neck. It was only as the needle was going in that I remembered about the novocaine. It was unpleasant, but not excruciating, and sore for about a week afterwards. And it turned out that all it was was additional bonus thyroid.
Ooooo, a bonus thyroid! I like that! You're a freak of nature and shit!
I'm going to secretly hope it's a bonus thyroid too.

Vibes and three words, from someone who has had two of these - Ask. For. Novocaine.
Novocaine. Got it.
Wait, you mean they won't give me megadose Vicadin or something? Bogus.
Thanks for the vibes, guys. I knew I was looking at thyroid issues but the need for a biopsy after having an ultrasound was a punch in the gut.

Have a wonderful day, Graham! Have a drink or twelve for me.

I'm going through some unnerving medical shit right now, and I could really use some VC vibes. They do work remarkably well!
Any uplifting thyroid biopsy stories would be much appreciated.

Here are a few of the pics from that night:
Haven't looked at those in a long time, thanks!
EDIT: Woah, I just realized that you've captured me taking a picture of Nels and John that appears in my linked photo album!
