The hand with the brown corduroy jacket sleeve in the front center (follow Glenn's stick straight down) is me.

It's up there with my top Wilco shows ever. I chalk that up largely to being up front and feeling the energy of a jam packed club show that was exuded by the band.

I dig the cover. Only thing I would have done differently is a slightly different angle on the shot, so they could have put the "WILCO" in place of the Maders sign.

Exactly what I would have done too. Made it fit in with the scene.

Of course, I'm not a photographer.....oh, wait.....

Jen, someone mentioned the name of the restaurant in the background, and you can see (just past the camel's front hump [NAPE]) that the font matches the restaurant's name:

Why, is it your font? If so, it's the greatest font ever created.

Actually, I like the font on its own, just not with the pic. I do get the "inside joke" though. I would have left it without "Wilco" at all and let the picture do the talking. It sure has a lot to say!

i don't know, I guess it will have to sink in. I like the idea about it being one of the bad 70s album covers. I understand it's intentionally bad, but im sure more then a few people wont get the joke.

 

Im just glad it doesn't say Wilco (The Album) on it.

I like the Font..

The font is the only thing I don't love about it. It doesn't match the pic, IMO.

It is fantastic though, and I agree that it's probably a "we're not taking ourselves too seriously" thing.

Off on a Prince tangent for a sec....I saw him on Tavis Smiley (or whatever that guy's name is) last night. Tavis brought up some lyrics from Prince's latest album and had printouts from the web. Prince said (paraphrasing) "now, where did you get those? Because I've heard some pretty mangled versions of my lyrics. Like from When Doves Cry, a girl was totally convinced that I was saying 'Dig if you will a picture, of you, Marvin Gaye, and the kids'."

Golden Girls production of "Henny Penny"

One of my favorite GG scenes. I love the different "bird walks" they do.

I just watched two Golden Girls episodes this morning, and watch it on a regular basis when I have insomnia at night. RIP, Dorothy.

I do a similar thing using windows media player. Type in a word such as 'wild' in the search field and listen to all the songs with that word in it. Great way to drag up tracks you would otherwise think of.

I did that with "strange" earlier today. I'm amazed at how many songs came up!

NP: Songs beginning with "A". I found a new approach to shuffling!

and i am *way* behind in backing up my data...i've got at least 50 gigs (shows, not GB...it's a lot more than 50GB) worth of photos w/ no redundancy right now...not good.

Oh my god, please do something about this quick!!! Most of what I lost was my early concert photography. It gutted me!
