I would like to dedicate the above post to Stardog.

yeah, i'm starting to drag really bad here at work. I think a total of 10 hours of sleep over the weekend+running around New York+last night's show = me almost dead. as much as I hate to, I think I'm bowing out of this.

they need to quit fucking around and just put the entire series on DVD. -
I do believe I'll be there. it's cool as hell that he's the opener, yet he's still playing a 2 hour set.

yeah, the 2nd song the horns were in on sounded great from up front. and Tim's set was awesome. I was really excited to see him, even moreso when I found out that Jim Boquist was in his band.

you know anything about that new album he's working on? i heard it might only be released over seas.

here's an article from Nov. 2003 it states that he was 38 at the time (but could easily pass for 25)

Any shirts being sold at the Golden Smog shows?
aricandover replied to Adam2's topic in Someone Else's Song
last night they had the two shirts bbop mentioned, and they also had a white t-shirt with the cover from "On Golden Smog" on the front. pretty swank and only $15 -
Kraig Johnson must have that magic Dick Clark gene. he's the only person i know who's 10 years older than me, but looks 5 years younger. no wonder he gets away with dating such a young chick.

awesome! there was horn player there tonight, he looked like you.
-
fuck yeah he was something I'd never in a million years thought I'd see.

that show meant a lot to me. if I hadn't seen them 10 years ago, who knows if I'd even be sitting here typing in this forum right now. getting into the music and the bands that Golden Smog introduced me to, lead me to the place where I'd meet the woman who would become my wife, and also lead me to a lot of really cool people. it might seem silly, but in a weird way I owe a lot of where my life is today to that band. and they fucking rocked my socks off tonight! thanks guys.
