There's a magazine called No Depression that's actually named after the UT album, I believe.

this has got to be the first grocery store show ever... i love it.
its actually a real venue. but I have gotten that a few times already, kind of an interesting idea

Thanks guys, both of your stuff sounds great. Victor, I am actually going to be in France this summer and may be looking to play some shows, I got you on myspace now so I may contact in the future

I am a big fan of Brooklyn Breweries, most of their products are delicious, if you are feeling daring go for the chocolate stout, its near impossible to have more than one (they are thick as tar and over 10% ABV but well worth it).
I am also a big fan of Harpoon, specifically UFO which is an unfiltered IPA I believe.

I've been around here for quite some time and have never really pimped my band. I have been waiting for the right time and perhaps it is now, so here it goes.
My band, BLASTRONAUTS, have a little mini winter tour coming up and would love if anyone would come out and support.
You can check us out at our myspace page (woot newscorp) myspace.com/blastronauts
Dates are as follows:
December 23 - Arlene's Grocery NYC
December 26 - Bullfinch Yacht Club Boston MA
December 27 - The Delancey NYC
January 2 - Bernies - Columbus OH
January 12 - Scarlett and Grey - Columbus OH
Even if you can't make a date, give us a listen and let me know what you think. Thanks!

Well done, my only complaint would be that it sounds too much like the original.

Juno (saw a pre screening, it was excellent)
Lives of Others (apparently '06 but I saw it on someone elses list and it blew me away so im adding it)

i really really like this album
its the only caribou album i have but have heard bits of other records and find that its a little more "out there"
any recommendations for where to go next?

i went to see him live about a month ago (it was for a lady, not because i wanted to) and it was slightly fun, had a few good tunes i guess, there was one song i really liked that sounded a lot like simon and garfunkle, new shoes is sort of silly
-
i don't see why wilco being played at starbuck's would be disappointing. don't you want to hear good music everywhere you go?
i work at starbucks (oh shit im in college) and they play a lot of mermaid avenue stuff, sometimes billy bragg songs too

nice stuff
where in boston are you at?
my band just recorded a demo at the milkhouse in allston

had the brooklyn brewery chocolate stout last week, which was also very good but extremely heavy

i sort of like it, tough kind of wish they ended the show after last season

What an idiot.
I dont like KISS at all but have always gotten a good laugh out of Gene, most of the time laughing with him.
I appreciate him inadvertently explaining the concept of supply and demand with his wonderfully flawed gold analogy though.

My Mom is a Danish citizen but lives in the states. She recently had to get a new green card to comply with "Homeland Security Regulations." I had a look at it and the amount of security measures on that thing is scary. Holograms and watermark type things everywhere, micro-sized portraits of every american president running across the bottom. The whole thing kind of freaked me out when I saw it.
