I've seen them at a festival only twice, both times at Summerfest in Milwaukee, both were decent shows. I've seen them a bunch on different non-festival tours. Do you think they have bad festival shows?
ive never seen the band at a festival but you would definitely see a shorter set and i cant imagine it would have the same feel as a wilco show because not everyone at the festival is there to see wilco

how about "millionaire"
"i wish i could fuck you the way he thinks he does, before he goes to sleep"

BOTTLE ROCKET! WAS PERFECT! AND IT WASN'T! ART DIRECTED! TO DEATH!
i definitely see what you are saying here and agree to a certain extent but i really love all the artwork and fonts and stuff like that have come to be one of anderson's trademarks. this art on this one seems to be especially cool.

I just looked online, there are about 4,000 fixed seats and 7,000 lawn seats. So they had about 400 rsvd seats and 700 lawn seats for the presale. I hope I do better with the public sale on Saturday. I'll be real bummed if I don't get tickets. If I don't get them I think i'm going to splurge and go down to New Orleans for the voodoo music show. Anyone heard stuff about that?
i think youd be better off seeing one of the tour dates that isnt a festival date

man i love wes anderson...this looks to be another good one
his cast of actors are always amazing
-
it will be there by tomorrow...dont worry you dont need a password or anything like that...at least thats how it usually goes i dont see why this show would be any different

any relation to the old gipper?
-
Well, yeah...because U2 are about 20 years past irrelevence
i saw two shows on U2's most recent tour...they were absolutely incredible...i'd say they are the best arena rock show out there and i don't even like U2 that much

I am entering my third year of college and i can promise you that since i purchased it, nothing has gotten more use than my George Foreman Superchamp Grill, those things are amazing and cost no more than 15 bucks.

Showing the Philly boys some love!
God damnit, why can't the Dr. Dog/Wilco experience come to my town?
saw dr. dog yesterday for a second time and feel the same way. what a great band they are....would love to see them open for wilco.

i only like YHF, but not HMD or ITMWLY

before even reading this thread i was going to say Juliette and Licks and the Bacon Brothers...first two on the list
this list is hilarious...and the press shots for some of these bands are even better

I thought I read in some magazine that one of the factors in Nels' joining Wilco was that he would/could/and does play exactly what Jeff played in the studio. Which, in my opinion, is fucking amazing to be able to isolate what someone is doing and replicate their sound with such precision.
i think live jeff takes most of the AGIB solos but often times nels harmonizes along

aww man im a sucker for puppies
congrats on the dog! ive always wanted a basset hound
-
i read this yesterday too
no words can describe how absurd it is that somehow this guy and his stupid friends made it into the white house and are now doing whatever the fuck they want with no respect for the american people or the united states constitution. i feel so helpless...there is nothing we can do but wait.

Los are a great, great band!
from my experience you cant really go wrong with an arts and crafts release these days
-
damn i was hoping that this was an actual white stripes hate thread...oh well
-
