  1. I've been wanting to ask the same thing. I'm all the way over in Tennessee so none of the dates are close to me. I really hope they add more shows...

they are playing dates in Texas and Lousiana later this year so I'm sure you southerners will get some dates around that time. The band toured more or less for 3 years straight after AGIB so I wouldn't worry about not getting shows.

  2. 6/29 is a sweet show. Torrent on the Ryan Adams Archive board.

Hoping for a show(s) like last Friday in Louisville>Germantown.

i was at the 6/29 show...two encores...2 hour 40 minute set...seems like you just sort of have to get lucky with this guy

  3. i am seeing ryan tonight and am so excited. was the band playing electric? also did ryan play any instruments or just sing? i know he hurt his hand or something.

edit: based on a review from alt-country.org ryan played guitar and it was electric! i am so excited

  4. I got my LP today, it came with the DVD, but they jipped me on the lithograph

did music direct give you any sort of shipping notice or did it just show up? and what sort of dvd is it? i hope this comes tomorrow

  5. they'd also have to get Jim back into doing music.

i dont know how valid the whole "jim really isnt into music anymore" thing is. has jim said this himself? i mean i know hes doing movies and whatnot.

  6. You have got to be kidding? Have you ever listened to 'A Storm In Heaven', 'Northern Soul', 'No Come Down' (the b-sides album)? Anything other than 'Urban Hymns'? I can understand you not liking them but to say they are the most overrated band of all time is pure ignorance! Nick McCabe is hands down one of the most underrated guitar players of the past 15 years. He creates sonic landscapes not unlike those of Nels Cline. Honestly give the early albums a shot or track down a live show before making a statement like that. Not trying to sound defensive but I hope your comment wasn't made after just hearing a few of the more popular hits. Either way, this is excellent news and I hope a US tour is to follow.

    nice first post

  7. i think this record is awesome

i think Halloween head is a great song

this record is not better than heartbreaker or cold roses but i would say its equally as good as jacksonville...which is pretty good

ryan is the man...i hope this record does well for him and he doesnt do anymore heroin etc.

  8. me too :dancing

they had posters of it up at the Mpls show, it looks tasty :music

me too...music direct mentioned something about a lithograph and a dvd coming with the orange vinyl...any idea what that is?

Jun 26, 2007 8:10 AM On FedEx vehicle for delivery ALEXANDRIA, VA

i havent heard anything from music direct yet but did notice they charged my bank account yesterday...is that where you ordered from? i hope this comes soon

  9. [rant]there were two girls in front of me who were constantly sitting down mid show to roll joints and would not stop smoking. i dont have anything against pot smoking but this was getting distracting. people were constantly pushing me out of the way to get beers. the two dudes next to me got into a fight and had to be restrained. and this was all about 5 rows back. not to say that i didnt have a great time but i wish the shows werent this way. i wish everyone could just stop what they are doing and listen to the concert that they paid a ton of money for. i think Jeff seemed to notice the energy and even pointed out that "they sang a lot louder in Atlanta." maybe it was the large venue, maybe it was just the new yorkers, but it was sort of frustrating.[rant/]

    ok thats enough about that

-poor places>kidsmoke was amazing, i like the way they do spiders these days

    -hummingbird was another highlight

    -new songs sound amazing live

-per the usual nels' freakout at the end of handshake drugs melted my face to the floor

-it was cool to hear kamera

the band really seems to be at the top of their game and sound extremely tight

hopefully ill see them again in Boston
