  1. I believe your speaking of albany? If so, I thought this was way overrated, they don't make a lot of the changes and there seemed to be a lack of direction. I preferred the -7 below out of both of those jams.
  2. "3. George Clinton 2002- Also worked secuirty. Hnug with Mr. Clinton, on his tour bus...weird weird night!" remphish so you smoked crack then I take it?
  3. So, I made it to the show last night and lets just say the exceeded my expectations. I thought that there was no way this band would come back playing as strong as they had been in Miami but they did at some points playing even better. The show was without a doubt the best structured I've seen since the return ( I mean look at that first set! What year is it?95?)everything was played extremely well. The composed sections of all the tunes sounded great but even when they weren't taking the songs on long journeys there was tons of great interplay and jamming (check out the wolfmans, nothing
  4. Absolutly but thats my point. While I'm pissed at what happened it seems silly that bands from the evil empire would boycott their homelands best friend. Secondly I would think if they cared about the palestian people they wouldn't have booked the show in the first place, its not like this is the first time the Israelis have done wrong. This was nothing compared to the bombing that occurred last year.
  5. Ummm, how about the native americans, we were real freindly when we dockecd our boats eh? Not to mention Isarel wasn't a country prior the end of world war 2. If you kicked me off my land I'd be a little upset too.
  6. Too bad we don't have a draft in the US maybe we would have ended these wars by now. At least in Israel everyone has to take part in their governments corrupt actions, in the US we let the minorities and the poor fight our battles while the rest of us live normal lives. EXACTLY. Not to mention the US is funding Israels wrong actions. I'm sure some of you are aware that we are giving them some 10 billion dollars. When it comes down to it the American government is the one you should be protesting if your angry with Israel, we give them the money to do this stuff and then protect
  7. I have also been very upset over Israel's action but this argument is kind of silly. It was not the university that killed the students it was the united states government. As others have said plenty of bands play plenty of places where the governments are committing atrocities upon other populations and their own (like the one you mentioned, the united sates). Where is the call for bands to boycott the united states(outside of the state of Arizona)?
  8. Looks like I got the Creek tickets and that I;ll be driving onward to Great Smokey National park afterwords.
  9. I may actually be at the creek. Right now the plan is CHicago and the creek. Since you live in indy MB maybe you could reccommend me some hiking? Doesn't need to be too close. I'm thinking we'll do the shows thursday and friday and then go camping and hiking for sat-mon. Know anywhere?
  10. yeah I mean I'm really not trying to be negative. It just seems evident but it really is nobody's business except theirs. I hear there was some kind of blow out on the phil zone where phil and jill were posting the other day I don't know what happened though.
  11. I wish they forgot about jay too lol
  12. other guy is jay lane from ratdog, who i personally can't stand on the drums. I'd be curious though to hear his percussion work, never herd him play without a kit.
  13. Very odd and too many gives weight to the jill being a control freak rumors. I can see how there has been all these inner group problems with that kind of dynamic.
  14. So I was just reading this http://www.delawareonline.com/article/20100218/ENTERTAINMENT/2190302/1114/The-Dead-finally-rise-in-Delaware and found this to be really BEAT Where do the night's set lists for Furthur come from? I see everything from Grateful Dead tunes to Bob Dylan and Beatles covers in the set lists from previous shows. It's a collaborative effort. Bob has input. I have input. And so does my wife, Jill, and Bob's manager, Matt Busch. We all hammer it out together, but it's mostly Jill and Matt, to be perfectly frank with you.
  15. Damn, never herd the SNACK benefit set may have to listen to that tonight. The other day I grabbed the 4/29/71 that charlie miller recently fixed up. Sounds great! Love the minglewood on this, I was never really a fan of this tune but this early take is beyond awesome. Lots of great points in this set esp. the Alligator>drums>Jam. Had never herd the boys play I Second That Emotion either. Love how after listening for over five years there is still something new always.
  16. seriously man, I think you need to go in for one day. Every year I hear you tell us how you live down the road and every year you tell your not going. GO A-MAN GO!
  17. I preety sure the whole thing (at least all circulating footage, I hear there is a video of Sing me Back Home in the vault) is available on google video.
  18. I know Hornsby really hated the way they had specific places for songs at the end. I remember reading him trying to get the band to open with a second set with Wharf Rat and he was told it belonged post space.
  19. hey it was nice listening with you but i'm out, peace.
  20. peaceful valley, ryan adams. Phil covered a bunch of his stuff with the barraco/cambell/sless/osborne/osby line up. Not really liking this version. The jam is coming along well though.
  21. This guy talking about the hampton show is hilarious.
  22. Yeah when you hear it matched up, lol
  23. I agree with you on Haynes, but John plays the parts well but I his singing and his guitar playing don't do it for me. Also, I think I herd Bob say he wanted to rap it up too lol
  24. Still not sold on John, but they sound pretty darn good.
