The same thing happened here in Wisconsin, but Obama somehow won by 17 points. I'm not predicting a similar blowout today, though.

The logic goes something like this: Obama wins 3 of 4 = Clinton victory overall I don't want this woman's grasp of math anywhere near the economy. The way Obama has very quickly closed seemingly insurmountable deficits in Texas and Ohio does, indeed, show buyer's remorse... remorse that we too quickly anointed Clinton as inevitable. There's just no way to positively spin Clinton's meltdown.

I'll be honest... I enjoyed both performances, but I too wondered about how they might play for the uninitiated. For example, Wilco fans know that Tweedy has a dry, ironic sense of humor, so the suit plays into that, and we think it's winking fun... but I wonder how many viewers just thought it looked lame?

I thoroughly enjoyed that. Love the song, love the new tweaks.

Chalk might not be a great movie, but I think anyone who teaches high school will appreciate how it gets so many minor details right. I laughed out loud a few times.

I have experienced that experience.

I enjoyed reading Bill Curry's thoughts about Buckley. An excerpt:

At this point, the Pixar banner is all I really need to be interested. I don't even need to know the title. I'll show up and ask for tickets for "that Pixar thing."

The trailer is iffy, perhaps, but I thought the same thing about the trailers for Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and The Incredibles. I think I've learned my lesson. I'm looking forward to this, mostly because we're planning to make it the very first movie our young daughter sees in the movie theater.

Doug, I know you are a cool guy and a true fan, but your wrath towards people who don't share the intensity of your outrage is a bit, um, zealot-like. Sure, if I had Charleston tickets like you I would be extremely disappointed. This is the only board I check every day. Besides a few movie-related sites that I occasionally stop at, it's the only one I have time for. I joined in November 2004, but I lurked for a long while before that. Creepy, eh?
