  1. That article might bug me a little bit. I'm not sure.
  2. So it seems that this software is a popular video hosting tool for municipalities, businesses, and webcammers. The software generates html files in a particular pattern--namely /view/index.shtml. Many users may not intend for the cams to be fully public, but aren't publicizing them and figure that no one will find them. Others do intend them to be public. Others don't care. Others don't know. Simple enough?
  3. Natural mellowing agents. On another board that I'm on "a Hunt's move" refers to an unclassy act.
  4. I believe that McSweeney's recommended AGIB and called it "a motherfucker."
  5. You dug up this thread for that? Not for Greg Oden needing knee surgery?
  6. Re: atchingway amesgay nlineoay http://www.myp2p.eu/MLB.htm
  7. I think if enough people said "he was fast" and enough people said "no he wasn't" we could probably settle this somehow.
  8. Pretty sweet! I was watching games within a few minutes.
  9. I haven't. I'm a little worried, but hope springs eternal. Hopefully Olsen will play today, but I guess it's not likely.

  12. Of course my point was simply that she's not helpless. The question "What could she do?" was asked and I answered. I think there's a balance between protecting kids and encouraging their independence and core-competencies. I've already backtracked in this specific situation, though. These personal threads seem popular on Friday nights. It's not necessarily the best forum for tough issues, but hey, no big deal. I'm sure we're not the only ones being consulted.
  13. Everyone's alive and has all their limbs. The day couldn't have been that bad. Look on the bright side--at least everyone's ok.
  14. Well, that's probably the wrong term. My point was simply that there's a wide range--for instance, our Chief Justice who's only had two seizures in his life (I believe).
  15. Well, no reason to put her in that situation unnecessarily, but she could be in a situation where she had to call an adult or 911 in an emergency situation even with a parent there. It's not so clear cut. I'll backpedal a bit and say, with the degree of your child's epilepsy, I can definitely see your point of view.
  16. I have a stepdaughter--age 13. Not sure if you meant this as rhetorical. The 8 year-old could call you or 911. When I was seven my mother was assaulted on our doorstep and I ran next door to call the police. The neighbor was already dialing 911, though, because she was watching.
  17. Now, considering that this thread is already pretty personal, do you mind me asking to what degree? Epilepsy is a symptom that has a pretty big range.
