  1. Jenny Omnichord - Charlotte Or Otis: Duets For Children, Their Parents, And Other People Too http://www.chartattack.com/news/59836/jenn...ds-new-delivery Win Butler had a song all ready to go for this and then legal reasons kept it from being included. Now that's Rock and Roll. Regardless, it's got Tony Dekker, Jim Guthrie and Andy Magoffin on it.
  2. Hello this is a Robo Call from Rudi Guiliani. That "liberal" Barack Obama, and his liberal friends in congress, want new laws to let the liberal judges decide the fate of violent murderers, rapists, and drug dealers rather than have to use mandatory sentences. Oh, and that we just can't trust the inexperience of that liberal, Barack Obama. This has been a another in a series of annoying robo-calls from Rudi Guiliani.

  4. Ahead by a Century - Tragically Hip First we'd climb a tree and maybe then we'd talk Or sit silently and listen to our thoughts With illusions of someday casting a golden light No dress rehearsal, this is our life That's when the hornet stung me and I had a feverish dream With revenge and doubt tonight we smoke them out You are ahead by a century Stare in the morning shroud and then the day began I tilted your cloud, you tilted my hand Rain falls in real time and rain fell through the night No dress rehearsal, this is our life That's when the hornet stung me and I had a serious dream W
  5. Relative Surplus Value - The Weakerthans Find the airport, 7 a.m. My heart pumping pure mini-bar Sit on the concrete by the carts And some girl throws a dime in my lap You won't be laughing when you hear how this one ends So I sleep through the entire flight Don't really wake up until the cab driver says 'Hey, where you going, I forget.' Think of the time I came to visit you here The year after Jeremy died And the elevator's fast and pops my ears out. They're all waiting patiently Touch my name tag and say 'Hello' I'm too tired to smile today Squeak the chair once, take a deep bre

  8. I'd rank it pretty high in the cannon as well. I also really appreciate the 'experimental' songs on F/F. It sort of echos back to the Archers.
  9. Crooked Finger - Forfeit/Fortune. Love it. Especially the backing vocals on What Never Comes. I don't think it's Lara Mekrinhausen (sp?) but it still sounds good.
  10. Swing states vote Majority rule All fucked Like 3-5-3 better than 5-7-5
  11. Got a cd version of the new Jolie Holland and it sounds just wonderful. Inside is a great picture of Joan Volmer and Matt Ward's guitar sounds ever so good.
  12. This is like the perfect companion to the last Ron Sexsmith cd. Seems he co-wrote some of the songs too.
  13. Yes - also thanks. Just getting around to Myspacing it. When pimping, having the pimp repeated again and again is the only way I find new music.
  14. Love the latest blurb from their website: 'We're happy to announce that the cover art for our genre-busting 2005 international mega-hit album WELCOME HOME, LOSER ("their first classic" said UNCUT), is featured in a great new exhibition, Spin: the art of cover design at The Arts Gallery (63 Davies Street, London, W1K 5DA), where it sits alongside 44 other classic examples of fantastic album cover artwork, thus proving our mate Conrad wrong for saying it was a shit cover. The cover photo was taken by the excellent Tim Mitchell, more of whose fine work you can see here www.timmitchellphotograp
