Rock Plaza Central - The Things That Bind You http://www.rockplazacentral.com/Things.mp3 Pick up all the things that bind you All the loving things that find you Longing for the days when they could drop you down and pacify you Pick up all the things that mattered All the loving things you gathered When you were both still together Running through all kinds of weather I said I

Ohh - Just reading that Davey Lane and the Pictures are opening for the Sydney and Melbourne shows. Sloan should grow mutton chops to fit in with their openers and audience. Now that would be a cool show to see, if we were not 5000 miles away.

Late to the party on this one. Vivid came up on Itunes in random and I had to stop what I was doing listen 5 times. Stupid me, I must have had the CD for close to a year and have never heard this song before.

Will Johnson - Survey Voyage 2004 2005. wow. Not heard this before.

Rock Plaza Central - - The world was hell to us. Gonna have to track down their first CD, because of the two cds I've heard, both are about as equally strong. Pick up all the things that bind you all the loving things that find you Longing for the days for the days that they could drop you down and pacify you Think up all the things that mattered all the loving things you gathered When you were both still together running through all kinds of weather.

Wrens soundboard from Brandeis earlier this year. This sounds unbelievably good. 'I'm the best 17 year old ever'

Oh geez Matt - that is way too bad. The concept-typy concert he brought here for the latest CD was really entertaining. Me: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...eoid=2028343418 Heartless Bastards vid for All This Time. I still can't believe how such a tiny singer can have such an barn-wallop voice. Love it.

74 You see this stuff? http://megamu.com/lastfm/ very cool - especially the musical histogram (which in this case is for somebody named Lee Byron): -
Neat discussion with Corey Brown from Misra/absolutely kosher over at Frank's (JamesMercer) Blog: http://www.chromewaves.net/index.php?itemid=2625#nucleus_cf I initially found it kinda strange that this new EP is on Glup records and not misra, but Cory sets it all straight and I must say the man with the faith behind the wrens is the coolest record person in indie rock.

I won't be there when you change your mind But it'll take a damn good disguise to live this one down. Fuck I'm going to miss this band.

Thanks for the update, it was really interesting to finally find out what is going on. I wonder if Misra Records sort of imploding also had something to do with it? Can't say that I like the later releases or Slow Dazzle as much, but I'm still buy everything they put out. Must put on that Called up from AA outtake CD.....

Yeah same thing here. It got me to pull out my purse with the appeal of nationalism and the cover of all these great white north related songs. Her Voice is pretty great Onto and the search for the Haunted's 1,2 5, the Great Scots and the Ugly Ducklings. wish there was a soundtrack to the thing: http://www.canada.com/topics/entertainment...94c&k=49818

Just reading the liner notes and Brandy Alexander is a Ron Sexsmith co-composition. Couldn't put my finger in it, but that just makes sense...

Jason Isbell - The Magician You watch every move You call it slight of hand You know its what I do But never who I am Never who I am Started on the street With cards and dollar bills Shuffling my feet I never could be boosted I never could be boosted Now I am an Orphan man But ain't we all I can make myself disappear I am an Orphan Man But ain't we all I know there's something worse than here I had a bride Sawed her in half Couple people cried Most of them just laughed Most of them just laughed I had a son Strong of hand and will I taught him how to run But never
