  1. I think Disney is doing a good job with the universe and the story that they're telling. I've enjoyed TFA and TLJ a bunch. Been pretty into Star Wars since I was 8, and haven't been disappointed by a movie really (except Attack Of The Clones in parts), and have really enjoyed a bunch of the novels and the new comics are really great. If you're into comics I suggest checking them out.

I hope that Rey and Kylo end up together in 9, because I think it will be both of them that bring balance to the Force, not just one or the other. Especially going off what happened in the throne room.

    Also, Porgs are awesome.

  2. Did you check the tab section of the board here, theres a lot of songs that aren't on the usual sites in those sections.

Gumbopages fills me with nostalgia, because that's where I learned the majority of the Wilco songs I know back when I was just learning the guitar. I'd print them off and fill notebooks with the tabs for all the Uncle Tupelo and Son Volt tunes too. :wub

  3. I had a blast at this one cos it'd been over a year and a half since I'd seen them. Cried really hard a couple of times. Got a special wave from Jeff, so that made me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Also got to meet Pat's dad Tony. He's super nice, and talks to you like you've been friends forever. Really special guy. He recognized us the next night in Atlanta too and chatted for a bit.

I thought this show was a good example of why I still spend all my money to go to several shows a year. It's more than the music, it's the community.

  4. Thomas Wolfe is a special venue for me personally cos it was the place my first Wilco show was in 2005. Our seats were 4 over from where they were the first time. Made even better by the fluke of friends being on either side of us. One gripe is the floor up front is sloped backwards, so it was really hard to see at times.

I hope the guy that vaped so hard next to us is okay, dude was out cold in the floor and seat mates had to flag security half way through the show. Legit a scary moment  cos the guy was out cold.

I thought the show was great, and I danced too hard- my back still hurts.

  5. I enjoyed this show a lot, I think it's probably my favorite of the 3 I saw this tour- the sound was good in the pit for us, and we had a great view of the whole stage from 4 rows back. The couple in front of us insisted on holding their phones up for photos nearly every song, so that was the only annoying things to speak of, I guess.

It was a little weird the setlist in B'Ham, ATL, and Asheville were so similar, but I guess it might just be the way things are this tour, if not all tours going forward, where the deeper cuts are reserved for residencies or something... I don't really care too much because all live Wilco is better than no live Wilco.

The Fox is a lovely place to see a show. I'm glad everybody stood all night too.

  6. Most venues have designated places for folks who can’t stand to sit and see the show with unobstructed views. It only takes communicating with the venue to aquire those accommodations. Dude should have maybe looked into it and not taken it so personally. Usually places are really nice about it.

  7. I scored 2 tickets for the Asheville show in Oct., but it wasn't easily accomplished. I noticed the same problems with Ticketmaster that others have described. The OR seats were outrageously priced from the moment I logged on to the site. So, I settled for 2 face-price tickets in the upper level (Section L), which look to at least be closer to the stage than some of the others I saw that were available. I much preferred the Songkick service I utilized to purchase tickets for the Louisville show in June.

I got married in Asheville last year and loved my time in the city, so my wife and I are excited to return. A Wilco concert was more than enough incentive to schedule an impromptu visit for the Fall. I haven't been inside the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, so I was curious about others' impressions who have attended performances held inside that venue?

I saw my first ever wilco show at Thomas Wolfe, and if you're on the extreme right side sight lines are not the greatest. We ended up closer to the aisle this time, so I am hoping to see the band a bit better this time. Last time I saw them there I had to stand on my tip toes a lot. Other than that is was a nice place to see a show, a little dated, but the sound was good.

  8. Got OR row E for Asheville. Super stoked. I think they're releasing in waves, but I jumped as soon as I got something decent. I'm almost positive its the same exact seat I had for my very 1st Wilco show

  9. I've had good luck going to the Fox box office instead of buying online but I figured they couldn't help today since it was just a presale. Did you call them or go by the box office?

actually I reached out on social media and they gave my info to ticketing. The ticketing lady called me a little after 11 and asked if I would like 4th row pit. I said "absolutely!"

  10. I am no longer grumpy. I ended up with 3rd row for Birmingham because of crazy luck, and 4th row pit for Atlanta by magical circumstances. The staff at the Fox is super awesome. Holy cow!

  11. Ashville show now has the map....seats are there...not great ones but decent.

That's the thing though. I'm not spending the money if it's not a good seat. I can't see shows like I used to anymore so it really has to be worth it.
  12. I pulled 5th row for Birmingham until I looked again and realized it was for Memphis. Let them go back into the ether and now feeling even more defeated.

I guess there's always hope for Friday

  13. I refreshed at 10 AM exactly and managed to get two third row orchestra pit tickets for Atlanta! I guess I am now off to Stub Hub to sell them at a ridiculous markup. (I am kidding.)

The last time they played the Fox, I got orchestra seats the day of the general sale, so don't lose hope. Also, there were a lot of empty seats around me, which I assume was due to scalpers hopefully losing their asses.

congrats man! it's the best feeling to pull awesome seats. I got pit for a couple Atlanta shows (Cobb Energy Centre and Chastain Park) years ago through regular on sales, so I know it happens, I just get my hopes up too high every single time.

  14. there's pit tix on stub hub for Atlanta for $500 a piece though.

    absolutely ridiculous.

I wish wilco would do more to prevent scalpers and bots. it's impossible these days. especially since they switched pre-sale companies. song kick is routinely awful.

    gripe gripe gripe.
