i am going to rock out so hard to this in about an hour.
-
I have one a lot like that. The bummer thing on mine is that the CD and tape player doesn't work anymore. Also the turntable wobbles just a bit. Doesn't hurt the quality of the sound, but it gets on my nerves if I watch the record spin

I think it's a great opening song!
-
he seemed rather short in atlanta.
-
that hook is great
-
Yesssss! If somebody on VC who isn't even at the show wins the dinner that would be hysterical!
-
pssst... try looking over here
-
I bought the Atlanta one at the show. It's hanging on my wall now. I love it!
-
Yep, just him and piano. It's really good, but after 3-4 listens it turns into background music. But gosh- "When Most I Wink" is gorgeous.
-
I will agree that the no phones/cameras thing was nice. I was worried about it going in, but it really let me focus on the show after the initial picture taking in the 1st 3 songs. it was like being in a zone, this little musical sphere, instead of texting telling people what they were playing right then, or trying to get just the right picture of jeff. really cool.

I wish. how ridiculous would that be? eat dinner with Neil on Wilco's dime.
-
That is so freaking fantastic. (I'm a music major in school, so classical music + jeff tweedy = heaven)
-
i can't wait to use my free dinner before Neil Young in Atlanta in May.
-
wow. i laughed very hard. I can imagine Jeff saying that.
-
I'm A Wheel felt fast in Atlanta. If only just a little bit.
-
think i might see if my friend who went with me to Atlanta wants to come over and listen! Webcast parties rock!
-
Good luck! At first, I thought you were having the same thing done my sister had to do last summer, but her's was a hemorrhoid, not a hernia. *major vibes to you*
-
:lol except there's no Simon.
-
great review. if you would like to use a picture actually from the show for your blog feel free to use one of mine.

Atlanta???? Are we talking about recordings? Where? hello??
-
At my 1st Wilco show in 2005 the opened with Misunderstood and then later played Via Chicago, so that estimation is not entirely true. I sort of thought the IP address thing WAS in place, but to counter act that I got friends to make requests by petitioning facebook. If a person wants to devote time to making requests on the site, let em go for it. it's not much different than waiting in line for 7 hours for a GA show.

most everything is $25 shirts, vinyl posters, stickers $2... or that's how I figure it because I bought a poster, tour shirt, being there vinyl, and a sticker and it was $77.
-
you must have been right by my sister then!

sure! i am especially fond of the one of john, even though you can't see his face well. i wish i could have used the school's good equipment, but because the show was out of state i was not authorized to use it. these were taken with my Nikon point-and-shoot. the one of jeff during "bbn" is going to run with the article.
