I always feel so bad for Jesse. The episode last year with the little boy is probably my single favorite episode. I looked on amctv.com and the shows are streaming there! will watch it after class.

damn-it-all. i forgot this came on last night. i wonder if the new season will be on the on demand?
-
No, I was really hoping that he would though. I mentioned how cool I thought it was that he did that when I talked to him. He was tickled that I knew they even did that. Some of my favorite pictures from the night

Saw the 400 Unit and Jason this past Wednesday. It was a rocking show. Talked to Jason for a bit before the show, and he was so nice, and called me "darlin" several times. I love southern dudes sometimes especially when they're RSBF's. I wish I could remember the set list. I do know there were 3 covers, "Psycho Killer", "American Girl" and "When My Baby's Beside Me". Pretty sure he played the following: Outfit Chicago Promenade Soldiers Get Strange Grown Seven Mile Island Try Never Gonna Change Streetlights The Blue Hurricanes and Hand Grenades Danko/Manuel Decoration Day Cigarettes and

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZCR9gNyoKM Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit played a Big Star cover in Alex's honor. Jason was the one who told me he died. Big Star was one of the 1st real "power pop" bands I listened to.

that's all well and good, but $68.99...

oh man, that's funny.

I have yet to see the poor placesHow long do ya'll thing the set(s) will be given this is and "Evening With"? I read in the press release email thingy they're supposed to be "extended", but what does that mean for a band when their average set length is 2 hours or so? Either way, I am EXCITED. Next week is gonna be a long one.

I think No Child Left Behind was the stupidest thing we've ever done as a country concerning education. My personal experience in the public school system, at least from an educational standpoint, was alright. Could it have been better? Absolutely, especially if those damn standardized tests were taken out of the equation. If every student learns at a different level the idea of measuring each against the other is ridiculous. There's too much pressure on the teachers I think, and having to waste time on getting kids up to the government "standard" takes time away from spending it actually

My dad is a lot like your hubby. I know for a fact he digs some songs, but he still says he doesn't like em. Thanks for helping with my campaign to hear Wishful Thinking. Hopefully, we will both get our requests, though I think yours has a better shot.
-
I'll request Spiders for you in clearwater if you request "Wishful Thinking" for me in Atlanta No, just kidding, I'll go request it anyway, but if you WANT to request "WT" that'd be lovely

she also got the new Pronto record! (which is really excellent if you haven't heard it)

a couple wilco covers

I had an experience a lot like yours. I knew the song before the 1st show I saw, but never heard a live version of it. When the noise/lights kicked in, I lost it. I had never seen anything like that live before. The " noise" totally makes the live version remarkable. I mean, jeez, listen to the lyrics. If there wasn't noise it would be weird. Same goes for "Bull Black Nova", without the noise, there wouldn't be near enough tension. It's like reading a really good thriller novel, where you can't put the book down, and it creates this anticipation. That's what Wilco does with the noise.

that's the biggest cluster-cuss i have ever heard in my entire life. seriously, the whole thing was a mess.

Robert Downey Jr, was eye candy. The only category I really gave a crap about was animated feature film, and "Up" won. I would have liked to see "...Mr. Fox", but oh well. "Up" was still good.
-
that is a very interesting article. but, i doubt seriously Wilco is secretly selling their tickets on broker sites.
-
Bellybutton is amazing! I got that record from my friend Chris a few years ago. So fantastic. Great pop melodies, with lyrics that make you think, and sometimes giggle at the same time.
-
"When I Drink" is one of those "damn, I wish I had written that" songs for me
-
What the hell does it mean to be cool anyway, I mean seriously? At the end of the day who really gives a crap about cool? For me Wilco's records are about how they make me feel inside emotionally not how they make my status rise or fall against pop culture's current list of likes and dislikes. Do people really listen to music made by people who are cool? I don't get that... at all. All of Wilco's records are great to me.

oh my. yeah, this song is very good. it tends to get stuck in my head a lot.
