Has anybody mentioned the new Rufus Wainwright record that comes out in April? I think it's called something like "Songs For Lulu" or something of that nature.

I think not being tied to a label might help new material come out faster. It might also allow for more experimental music. Very exciting!!

i assume the info is on the website yeah, i take pictures sparingly at Wilco shows, because i know how touchy the subject is. i used flash maybe one time a show just to see how it would turn out if at all. i am beside myself about this, because part of the reason i bought the stupid pit ticket was to be able to get some decent photos.

Saw the 400 Unit and Jason this past Wednesday. It was a rocking show. Talked to Jason for a bit before the show, and he was so nice, and called me "darlin" several times. I think No Child Left Behind was the stupidest thing we've ever done as a country concerning education. My personal experience in the public school system, at least from an educational standpoint, was alright. Could it have been better? Absolutely, especially if those damn standardized tests were taken out of the equation. If every student learns at a different level the idea of measuring each against the other is ridiculous. There's too much pressure on the teachers I think, and having to waste time on getting kids up to the government "standard" takes time away from spending it actually
