If I remember correctly, a long time ago there was some discussion about the original pressings of "Being There" on vinyl, and how it sounded worse than the CD. I wonder if the reason for that is what you just described? I may as my parents for this set for my birthday. The more I think about it, the cooler it would be to have. Especially after listening to the reissued "Being There" and "Summerteeth"

Here's my review for the school paper. Wilco is the hardest woking band in American rock music. Friday March 26th, they proved it at the Fox Theatre. Since their inception in 1994, Wilco has released seven studio records, a live double CD set, and 2 DVD’s. Truly, at the core, Wilco is a band best experienced in a concert setting. They’ve name a name for themselves grass-roots style, through a hardcore fan base, and a reputation for meticulous live performances. The set at the Fox Theatre was nothing short of remarkable, and personally one of the best concerts I have ever attended. The “Eve

i'm paying $117. i feel like it's worth it cos this is the only chance I will have at seeing him.
-
Indeed. I was very tickled that I won- thought Jeff might hand it to me right then since I was in the 3rd row right in front of him. I couldn't believe it was for $100. As a college student, that's a heck of a lot of money!

My friend got us tickets to see Neil in Atlanta on May 29. This will be my 1st time seeing Neil, and i am so stoked!! What should I expect of a live performance from Neil? Anybody else get tickets for this tour?
-
they didn't mention the website, but they did play songs that were in the top ten requested for the show i saw.

My sister called me this morning to discuss the show. She said Sufjan Stevens came out on stage with them. Also said her and her friends got tangled in Matt's mic cord. here are some of her picutures

Isn't that fun? I told my friend when Jeff had an acoustic with the red SG behind it was going to be "Handshake Drugs" and she looked at my puzzled "How on earth do you know that?"

my sister and i were talking after the show about laminated cat, and she said something like "Jeff has a thing for cats doing weird shit, doesn't he?"... never really thought of that. One of the most fun moments was during "I'm the Man Who Loves You" when Glenn stood up on his drums he said "Let me hear you, motherf*ckers!!" I screamed like a little girl. So awesome. Also, this was the 3rd show I've seen Glenn wear that shit. It's awesome.

thanks. i watched the whole thing, but i couldn't remember that montreal was the city. for some reason i was thinking seattle.

The backdrop was gorgeous! I enjoyed that the "candles" in the back were synchronized with parts of songs. I keep having dreams about the show. The only down side the whole night was that stupid drunk guy.

Why is everybody being so grumpy today? Be careful using the phone during the show... a guy in ATL got booted out for using an iPhone in the pit. Security thought he was sneaking pictures -
Pretty sure it was from Washington or somewhere over there in the Northwest. Judging by the fact that Jeff's wearing his boggin, and Pat still has a beard.

you you could check the correct sub-forum. there's a designated place on this board where specific recordings are posted/discussed. this forum is for discussing the actual shows. was anybody else super impressed by the theatre? very snazzy

he does use some very different tunings. over all, i think the guitar transitions go very smooth compared to other bands i've seen.

GREAT review. I can't wait to read your thoughts on Atlanta.

patience guys, jeez. don't you remember when it took MONTHS for a show to appear? At least give it a week. Hopefully it will be up within a month though, that'd be awesome. Until then, what did ya'll think of the show??
-
i guess i was lucky, because the sound was great in the pit. i remember the last time the band played atlanta there was a lot of crowd noise too. it seems like a lot of folks go to shows in atlanta to be seen by others, and not to see the band. such a shame.

I heard it's going to feature a kazoo choir.
