Brilliant last night - Idlewild were very disappointing though.

As for the Patrick Watson - I'm with Kyle, it's nice, but yeah, it seems like an odd choice for Canadian album of the year considering the competition...

I really should try and get hold of that album... that link you sent me has some nice stuff on it.

When you say you're "getting into them" what have you heard? That'll probably indicate which albums to go for first. If it's through "In Rainbows" then you'd probably want to start with Kid A and OK Computer before going back to The Bends. What has to be mentioned is that The Bends is one of, if not the best, Indie-Rock album of the past 25 years and sounds nothing like their latest stuff.

Seeing them tonight AND the Twilight Sad is supporting :dance

Is that any good? For me:

Which one's that? As for the photos - yeah, Corbijn has said that Joy Division was the reason he left his home town / country and moved to the UK. He just HAD to photograph these guys. I guess that's why he ended up making the movie!

Currently playing / watching the Paul Mccartney show at the Roundhouse in London as part of BBC's Electric Proms. And it's really good - plenty of old stuff in with the new stuff. A great rendition of "Band on the Run"!

The film is really good. It does look like a set of photographs though, as you'd probably expect from Anton Corbijn. Even if you're not a fan of the band (Aman!) then it's still a great film about music, life and love. And Louie - glad to hear you're ok.

Cool - I went back to it after you mentioned it the other day... it really is a great record. EDIT: "A pretty good UK blog" PAH!!

Never heard of him! What's he like? NP: Very nice too... all in Welsh... more folk-tinged than country...

^^^ Who's that mate? NP: RE: The Weakerthans - that new album rules, but Reconstruction Site is a fantastic album. I've not got any of their others though, are they worth seeking out?

It's not that big a deal in the UK, but I'm in! Why not!
