Light, fluffy and a bit 80's... but it's still really rather good...

I think it must be just me, but I put the "uninteresting music" down to the poor production. It's too bright, there's no dirt or darkness to the arrangements which it really needs. I'm not sure if it's the promo, but I think that's the biggest let down. I was wanting big, dirty guitars, the perfect foil for his vocals. But, alas, it's not to be...

I'm a fan of Westerns as well - certainly Deadwood has changed some people's view of them, probably why there's a whole host of them coming out now... maybe. Looking forward to catching this - the trailer looked good. Not sure about Jesse James though... will have to see. The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada was an interesting film - a very "modern" western...
