smperkin
I can't quit listening to the bootleg of the 3/5/05 Vic show and my favorite song off of it is ELT. Here's a shot at the tab as it's different than what's on the web. Be sure to take note of the star notations I made. Any suggestions/changes are welcome! Pecan_Pie
It's like walking down the bass note of the chord to the next bass note, like you're playing a G chord and going to a E chord walkdown onto F sharp and then to the E chord. hope that helped.

nurfherder
Please pretend I have no idea what you're talking about, and explain it to me slow... I'll diagram the chords, maybe that would help. G-chord e -- 3B -- 3G -- 0D -- 0A -- 2E -- 3 walkdown G to F# e -- 3B -- 3G -- 0D -- 0A -- 2 (or 0, depending on how you want to play it)E -- 2 G to E e -- 3B -- 3G -- 0D -- 0A -- 2 (or 0 still)E -- 0 E-chord e -- 0B -- 0G -- 1D -- 2A -- 2E -- 0 Hope that helps. Groo
Thanks! However, how does this fit into this particular song? Edited September 6, 2005 by Groo
nurfherder
Thanks! However, how does this fit into this particular song? It doesn't actually. The concept is the same, however. For the 'Walkdown the low E string (4th to 2nd fret)' based on the A-chord you would play e -- 0B -- 2G -- 2D -- 2A -- 0E -- 4 then same except for E -- 3same, E -- 2 For the 'Walkdown the A string (4th to 2nd fret)' on the D-chord you'd play e -- 2B -- 3G -- 2D -- 0A -- 4E -- x then same, A -- 3same, A -- 2 Once you know the concept you can apply it to all the different chords and make it sound all fancy-like. nurfherder
Thanks! But Jesus H, that chord is quite a stretch... It's slightly easier if you use a bar for the A, but yes, it is quite hard.
