WilcoFan
I heard he palys guitar at sound checks ?It doesn't even look like he's playing that mini keyboard That's what my local dj told me.. That he doesn't even play guitar at his shows anymore because of CTS. Is that true? If so, should I even buy a ticket tomorrow?

froggie
Bump. Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning. Any opinions on whether he is worth seeing? Will be play a guitar? strongly doubt the guit. its been labelled as an "all new show" but that seems to happen every tour! you can see his current setlists here: http://my.execpc.com/~billp61/dates.html as you'll notice, they seems to revolve around a small number of songs over and over. since the new album comes out towards the end of the tour, maybe some new tunes will show up then
groselicain
I saw Dylan with Merle Haggard a little over a month ago at the Tennessee Theatre. It was an amazing show, but it bordered on surreal when Dylan took the stage. His backing band was far too loud, particularly the bald guitarist standing in front of me (left floor). His drummer was louder than everyone, and of course, Bob played his sparkle-covered keyboard all night to fill out the band's sound with his pipe-organ setting. You have no idea how it feels to be listening to Ballad of a Thin Man just twenty feet from the man as he plays the piano tag ON PIPE ORGAN, followed by two extremely white men playing very white guitar solos (something along the lines of putting 'I'm going to go buy some Khakis at Gap to wear in my casket with my iPod and RAZR phone when I have my funeral at Banana Republic' into music), and the drummer crashing his rivet-ride. Yes, CRASHING IT. Add to that Dylan's new play-thing of singing the lines with no sense of time, and the way his voice shoots from high to low from years of his two-pack-a-day habit, and you've got yourself the weirdest concert ever. Maybe these shows will be a little more normal. Looking back, his new versions of songs weren't all that bad at all. For the first time in my life, I enjoyed "Lay, Lady, Lay." brokendowntele
Bought my tix today for Manchester NH. Taking the wife and 6 year old daughter so she can say she saw Dylan before he dies. As those of you attend preceding shows, please post any comments and reviews so as I can prepare my self and family. BTW I have been blaring 1975 Rolling Thunder Revue double CD and it may be one of the greatest things I have ever heard.

TheMaker
That photo is spectacular (pretty sure it's a vintage Ted Croner shot; he'd likely be familiar to music geeks for his cover to Luna's Penthouse), but that typeface offends me personally as an artist. Holy shit, that's awful. Think it's too late for me to petition Sony for a chance to redesign it pro bono...?

suites
I won't see Bob until he actually comes to South Florida again. It wont be long I bet.....I have seen him over 10 times in 10 years....all in South Florida....but I am done. The last show at the Hard Rock was just painful. I started a thread about it last month.
